This is easily the scariest movie ever; if of course the only other movie you've ever seen stars the Olsen twins. It is impossible to be scared by this movie. It had potential; I'll give you that, if only the people who made the trailer would have made the actual movie. I've seen a lot of bad movies, especially bad "horror" movies, and this one is right down there with Cabin Fever and Exorcist 4. Embarrassingly Awful!

Scaaary!!! It gave me more goosebumps than Blair Witch - - I thought the plot moved along nicely and the scariest part was when you let your own vivid imagination take over... a must see.

This has got to be one of the stupidest movies I have ever seen in the history of my life on this planet. I was so looking forward to it and I was sitting there thinking, "are they serious? This is it? " The lamest, worst story, non scary movie in existence. Do not watch it unless you want to be bored out of your mind. The only reason I watched it to the end is because I kept hoping something would happen that would make up for it all. No such luck!

I was hooked at the beggining with the young boy in bed watching his father get taken away by something unknown in the closet, from there the movie went straight downhill. An hour and a half of creepy noises with nothing to back it up. This could have been really good if done properly.

The Movie in total wasn't too bad, though some of the "scary" effects and scenes were very close rip-offs of "IT". But I will say it outright, to put this movie in plain veiw, this movie doesn't have anything on "IT".

I thought that the beginning was great, and really scary, but the ending wasn't very good. I think that they tried to fit too much into the movie, and because of that, they didn't explain certain things and it was pretty confusing at some points. It was worth seeing, but if the ending had been different, I would have given it a 10/10.

That movie was great! I thought that I would have been scared sh! Tless on the way there. When I did arrive there was only 10 people in the theatre. Me and my boyfriend were laughing at some parts, but over all I think that I jumped more than anyone in the theatre. People say that the ending was crap, I thought it was alright (could've been better) I would not put my feet on the ground! My boyfriend was pretty scared too(he admited) Go see it and be sure to take someone with you... you'll thank me later.

I just don't get the whole story, does it means, you need to break everything to face the boogeyman? Like at the end of the movie, the guy must break the toy, the eagle status, and the light ball, and then the "boogie man"'s gone. What's the point?

The movie was good, wasn't the best story but I liked the music and the sounds. Thats what a scarry movie should be about, moments where there is odd silence and then all of a sudden BOOM! That create the scarry efect. I hate moveis where people kill other people and expect to be scary that just blows.

Well, the first hour was great, I was on the edge of my seat for sure, I wont deny it, but the last litle bit of the movie... absolutely ruined it, I love leaving movies feeling afraid beyond all belief, but it's as if they couldnt figure out how to end it. Your imagination is your biggest fear, but they ruined that by showing you the boogeyman. He was no longer scary, oh well, its still good for a random friday night out to the movies.

Worst movie I've seen in years, scrariest part is the first five minutes. Do not go see this movie, if you do, you'll just be comtemplating how they could screw up such an easy concept as the freaking Boogeyman. Hell the movie would have been better if they would have just made the "creature" scare lil kid the whole time. If you go see this movie, you'll probably come out of the theater stupider then before, I know I did.

I can't seem to comprehend why this movie is rated as low as it was. I'm not sure where this production company came from, Ghost House Productions (I believe) but this movie is definitely worth seeing. In terms of the scariness factor? Well there wasn't much of that I must admit but it was well put together, suspenceful for the most part, and the atmosphere created in many scences in unbelivable. The most captured my attention right for the errieness of the opening scene and from the on it sustained my attention. For horror buffs like myself this movie can't compare- but for what it is in comparison to today's attempts at creating or recreating scray movies it makes and honest attempt that I can respect. It doesn't hurt that Barry Watson isn't hard on the eyes either- but that's not why I enjoyed this movie. If you've ever thought about the idea of there ever being a Boogeyman or hearing such stories at any point in your life- than this movie is worth seeing. P. s I thought the twist with the little girl was a good idea that I didn't even see coming.

I was very IMPRESSED!!! I have seen other's like The Grudge and thought they were a flop. But this one was an on the edge of your seat, making you jump when you least expected movie... from the very beginning. GO SEE IT!!!

Wow, this movie was so badly done. There is no plot what-so-ever. And whats with the Franny person? Is she dead or what, and what kind name is that. And when the scary boogeyman attacks the uncle with uh... plastic wrap!? And the end is really cheesy, "Oh look! It's sunny now". If only there was a rating less than 1/10!!!

Yikes... I found this movie so much scarier than the Grudge. I went to see it with a friend of mine, and we were both freakin, jolting out of our seats, with our hearts in our throats. It was one of those movies where you should expect the unexpected, and you don't know what's going to be thrown at you next. Besides being scary, "Boogeyman" has a good plot, and storyline, and has a lot of mind blowing action. The only thing that was a letdown though was the ending... it could've been way better. Still, my friend and I enjoyed it. However, I don't think I'll look at another closet in the same way again.

This movie has all the typical horror movie cinematic cliches but lacks of a developed script and takes awhile to developpe some of the intricate factors that make horrors successful which are missing in this movie. Also missing is the audienceÂ’s empathy for the main character that should be a major importance for this kind of movie. In conclusion, the plot is a good idea but is badly explored.

OMG! This movie was awesome! I never scream during movies but I did in this 1, more than once! It was so creepy with(... ) and everything else. It's creepy from the beginning to the end. The end was kinda lame but o well THE MOVIE WAS GREAT! If you are looking for a movie to make you jump and scream this you have to see!

Wow the to the people that rated it 8 or higher.. did u actually watch the movie... cause this was a bunch of crap especially the ending... it was like at the beginning "wow this could actually accomplish to be a good movie" then u watch the end "and your like what [...] I wasted my time for this crap".. so if you like movies that just go downhill from the biggining and have a bad ending then I definitely recomend this one to you.

This was a genuine HORROR movie. If you don't like this movie then you don't like horror movies. The plot was simple, the camera shots were very much appreciative (gave this movie a good touch) and many many jump out of your seat moments!! Although the ending lacked impact, I still thought that this movie contained all the elements that it needed to keep a horror movie fanatic entertained.

You want to see a movie where you are on the edge of your seat, waiting for something to jump out of every closet? Then see this movie! But if you need a good solid ending and you need the "bad guys" to look real? Then this really isn't the movie for you. I was on the edge of my seat the whole movie, but then the ending totally stunk! The so-called "Boogeyman" looked WAY to computer animated... also it was alittle slow in some parts. Could have been much better.
