I love character-driven movies. If you do too, see this movie. Laura Linney is a treasure--under-appreciated, but a treasure nevertheless. (I thought she was also superb in "Mystic River.") The rest of the cast is also excellent.

See this movie for the performances and for the rawness of the truth portrayed in it. P. S. Tells the story of a woman living a very ordinary life, her dreams have begun to die, her personal relationships are kind of a mess, and she is still looking to a relationship she had in high school as the ideal, deep inside she is still in love with her high school sweetheart. Laura Linney gives yet another honest, spot-on performance. Topher Grace is a big surprise, holding his own against Linney (even if he does bear a striking resemblance to a less squeaky Tobey Maguire) The supporting cast is excellent.
