For a much better movie on the Rwanda genocide people should rent Shooting dogs.

Quality movie that is both well done and moving. The story does a fantastic job of explaining what happened without turning 'Hollywood' - the movie is clean, straight forward and does not put on a sob story to make the audience cry. The true events were horrible and this movie does a great job of capturing that feeling. Everyone plays their role amazingly well and I'd recommend this movie to ANYONE, whether you do/do not like history, do/do not like the actors, do/do not like documentary-style dramas, etc. - This movie shouldn't be missed.

I thought the portrayal of Paul Rusesabagina by Don Cheadle was FABULOUS! Touching, sincere, honest - it really pulled you into the movie to FEEL what happened during the Rwandan genocide. An absolutely excellent portrayal of a true story.

This movie is a masterpiece. I would never say I loved it, or that I liked it. I actually really thought it was just a masterpiece because of the way it was made. It shows a very powerful message. It also shows the charachter of humanity, the Western World and the UN in that time. I am very content that the world has changed now. This is a 'see it for your own good'.
