It is an excellent movie from beginning to finish. Good acting, especially Hillary Swank and she deserved another win for best actress. Excellent but tragic ending, but it talks about life and decision. Great movie not to be missed.

The first 45 minutes or so were wonderful, and I was just starting to think Hollywood made another rarity- a movie free of formula and cliche- when along comes the most ridiculous fight scene that is eerily reminiscent of WWF (or is it WWE now, who cares) Why do so many directors think every movie has to have a hero and a villain? After the injury scene I ceased to even care what happened to the characters, whereas up to that point I did. Then the last half hour drags on endlessly with drippy sentiment. A potentially great movie ruined by a formulaic turn. A waste of good acting also. If you like Hollywood schlock, this is better than average. But otherwise, avoid this one.

Pass the feeling yet somehow cliche-good acting and directing-not a good scenario.

Great film, the character development was really well done the boxing scenes were good, the story line was heartwarming and tragic.
