I don't get it. Some people have commented that this movie is confusing. Not so. It's very simple although because of the aiien customs, it takes a while to see through the eyes of the residents of Bregna. (Notice the suggested "pregnant" inferance of the name of the city? ) The plot, simple, survival against a regime that wants to keep everything secret so that you will be protected from yourself. Sounds like someone in Hollywood did a pilot project for the US National Security Agency to try to get the masses to be happy about Homeland Security so that 1984's prophetic revelations could come to reality. Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but the movie taken on it's own merits is extremely original by taking a the viewer through the struggles of an organic sci-fi world of low-tech/high-tech innovations to look for the truth about a solution of man's ultimate fate which appears to be self-extermination given the world we now live in. Great plot but a little dry on the cloning aspect of things. There appeared to be little historical reflections that man is naturally apt to incorporate into a lost civilization as we all have this need to know where we have come from. Maybe it was done deliberately, but I noticed it.

It's to describe this movie, it is just unreal and weird. I like the originality but I did'nt really understood the story at all. Don't put one cent on this movie, there is more think you can do during a day then watching a movie like that.

If you liked the matrix you will LOVE this movie. Cool special effects and really great story line. Charlize is wonderful as always. Go see this movie.

It was alright for a sci-fi fantasy movie but it was a very confusing plot. Lots of action and good acting. Liked the special effects to but overall it wasnt that great of a story. I like I Robot better for a sci-fi fantasy.

Not quite worth the buck I paid to see it. The only saving grace of this film is Charlize Theron in a tight black outfit. The story is without urgency and the fighting is filmed in such a way that you can't really follow it. Wasted talent all around. Not as bad as Halle Berry's post-Oscar bomb (Catwoman), but still pretty crutty.

Not bad as far as sci-fi goes. It tried too hard to be futuristic and fancy. There were some slow scenes. I liked the plot and that's what saved it for me. If you like Charlize Theron and want to see her in tight clothes, then this is the movie for you.

The first 45 minutes where bo. A re edit could be in the future the last of the movie was good and I almost walked out in the first 45 minutes but I was shopping all day for christmas and needed to sit down for a will.

Oh man, cheap, cheap, cheap scenes. Totally crappy story and dialogue and the acting was pathetic. This movie must have been on around a 1000 dollar budget. Why would you star in this Charlize? Why?

Ignore the bad reviews here! Aeon Flux is fantastic! The plot is intriguing. The characters are captivating. The story is great. Excellent FX and action. The fighting is the only weak point, but it's not meant to be a martial arts film like Tomb Raider. The scenes, buildings and interior sets are very stylish. Charlize is gorgeous, sleek, acrobatic, smart and sexy. This movie is a work of art! If you like Sci-fi flicks, this is the one to see. The earlier Sci-fi movie this year, the Island, stinks in comparison to this one. It's similar to THX1138 and Logan's Run theme-wise. Worth the full price of admission. Definitely, a Christmas/holiday treat! But don't wait for the DVD, it must be seen on the big screen. I only give a movie top rating if I'm willing to see it more than once, and I will gladly see this one again!

Was pleasantly surprised by this movie. Overall a unique and creative film. Good, well rounded story. Charlize is the big name, and she is good at her craft. LOTR fans will recognize Marton Csokas as Celeborn. I liked him in this movie. Not perfect (how many movies really are? ) but perfectly enjoyable.

Some good special effects and good plot concepts, but execution should have been much better. Only two characters have any depth at all, the others are cartoonish. Despite the actors best efforts, they just didn't have enough to work with. Editing is horrible (or maybe there were too many scenes missing in the filming) Sound was awkward, with complete silence at strange times and background music was ineffective. Maybe if it had been 30 to 45 minutes longer and they had spent a bit more time making it look polished, it would have worked; as it is, it is a disaster and I'm sure the actors involved wish they hadn't taken credit for it...

Somewhat creative. Like the marbles that come to you when you whistle for them. But otherwise totally lacked pizzazz. Felt like the cast and the crew were bored making the movie. The movie dragged its feet right to the end.

Well, one must be honest. I really only seen this movie for one simple reason, Charlize... She is amazing! This woman is beautiful in every sense of the word!! Overall, I did not like the concept of fight scenes etc... But worth the watch with her in that outfit!
