War of the Worlds (WotW) is an excellent movie. The whole alien invasion is seen through the eyes of a troubled family. WotW is far superior and scarier then that other alien invasion movie 'Independence Day'. This is no patriotic movie. It is dark and scary, but NOT in the sense of jump out of your skin at any sound or movement. The whole premise of a an unstoppable and powerful alien invasion is scary. I saw the 1953 WotW movie, and have waited a long time for a remake. And finally, the INVASION has arrived (Move over X-Files -- they are here and it is too late -- the INVASION has BEGAN. Run for your lives... and go see the movie)
