Kung Fu Hustle is one of the most original movies I have ever seen in my 52 years, and I am not a big fan of martial arts movies but this is more than that. It took a lot of courage to fuse this genre with slapstick and it was done with great style, when you least expected it. And it doesn't hurt to have a little bit of that Tarantino influence in there as well. The dance number that the Axe Gang does in the beginning of the film will be part of movie history. I rarely rate a movie 10 out 10 but this one deserves it.
