A harsh, multi-faceted, intricate, and comprehensive look at the last days of the Third Reich. This film is so fascinating! It's also lovely to watch. Beautifully shot, supremely well-acted, historically accurate, human, alive, gripping, and best of all, shot entirely in German. The effect is spectacular and the language really adds to the viewer's experience of that time and place. I recommend this to everyone, except those who don't have the patience to pay attention for three hours AND read subtitles while doing it.
