This is a rarity for me. I am giving this movie a well deserverd 10. After all a 10 at Cinema Clock is a 'masterpiece, go see it now' movie. It is a masterpiece for more than one reason. Firstly, Philip Seymour Hoffman does an unbelievable job capturing the essence of Truman Capote and breathing life into this famous writer who penned In Cold Blood. Having read this book in High School I can honestly say that this movie brought me back to the chilling events that Capote wrote about in the 60's. The movie's pace was perfect and didn't stall at any one particular part. The movie re-emphasises what Capote set out to do and that was to write about two different worlds colliding. In Capote we see his humanity as one with concern and lack of concern. Perhaps this is the balance and the tragedy all rolled up in one. Hoffman will win Best Actor at the Academy Awards hands down and I will see this again.
