At times, its adherence to style, strains believability. The lead actress, the young femme fatale, although compelling just didn't have it in the eyes. When we learn what she is - or is capable of - I don't see a corresponding awareness in the performer, or in the performance. More points can be deducted for various reasons, but then add them all back because for a first film this is a remarkable achievement! D.
