User's review

I was of the impression that the subtitling was for both languages simultaneously. Actually, there is subtitling for the spoken English at theatres in French Canada and subtitling for the spoken French in English Canada. As a result, do not go to a Québec cinema to watch the movie if you are anglophone or to a cinema outside Québec if you are francophone. (You will miss important nuances as a result! ) Only people who are totally bilingual (without preference for either language) could see it in either language and fully appreciate the humour. There was a point early in the movie that both lead actors started acting quite silly (like they were drunk)-- quite without reason. Otherwise, the film was very well done and certainly worth seeing. The movie is funny, a good stress reliever, and an apt portrayal of the English/French cultural differences. Take this from one who has lived both cultures.
