The twist is not satisfying, but the cast is excellent. But I want to write in praise of Bob Gunton. He plays the judge / father to Ryan Gosling's love interest, also excellent. But this Bob Gunton guy is right up there with the the best character actors I am aware of. Nobody has heard of him but everybody recognizes him. Has he ever been less than excellent? And in Fracture, he is excellent. So, here's to Bob Gunton!
