It was way to boring, a huge downfall in the series.

You know I'm a fan of the Harry Potter movies and books. But I hated this one so much. I wanted to get out of the theater so badly at the beginning. The reason why this movie is so bad is that this movie didn't follow the book at all. So disappointing.

A HUGE surprise! It's the very best of the series so far. It was poignant, swift, riveting entertainment which brings true magic that the last two never had. Despite the fact that it has a lot of cheesy lines it was a good movie. The special effects were simply amazing, and David Yates (who has no directing career in feature motion pictures) gives Hogwarts a darker atmosphere. The new writing knows how to reference this to many of the predessecors. Yet the thing with Harry Potter is that each film has different subplots, and once they conclude, there never is a real good reason why they have to make sequels. This one actually does something, the second, third, and fourth were purely just for the money. But this brings an unsettling situation which is hooking, involving, and immense. This epic is huge to the series, yet it's forgettable and nothing special. It wasn't amazing, it's just the most entertaining summer movie I've seen so far.

It makes me sad that they cut so much out. The acting was good but if you don't read the book it's makes no sense. The acting was good. Oh plus I didn't like the dementors... I wish they stayed the same.

Unattractive, uncool and hard to understand.

It could've been much better if they hadn't cut off the important parts. I hope they dont go over the same mistake with the next movie.

Really good movie. Keeping in mind that the books are getting longer, and the movies have to be roughly the same length (2 Hours 10-30 minutes) for every film, David Yates did a pretty good job on Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. Although GOF was better in character development, action, and plot (go Mike!), visual and special effects for OOTP are extremely amazing, the climatic encounter with the opposing forces was shockingly cool. I think Yates could have brought out the characters more, and get to know about them. Everyone who didn't read the books barely got to know Tonks at all.

The thing is, as the books get closer to the end of the series, the books get thicker and there are more things to include in the movies. So, as the movies gets closer to the end of the series, they become less and less like the books since there are too many scenes getting cut. Looking at it this way, the movie was pretty good. They did a pretty good job in making the movie like the book and I liked the actress they choose for Luna.

What can I say, it's Harry Potter! This movie more or less lived up to my expectations. Given the previous movies, I was expecting some changes or omissions to the original plot. But for a book as long as OOTP, they did an excellent job. And it was certainly better than the GOF movie. All in all, I really enjoyed this movie and I look forward to when it comes out on DVD, so I can see it again!

Awesome movies (Harry Potter), all of them. The books are even better, but these movies do a great job of bringing the characters to life. I hope they are planning to turn all seven books into movies. The only problem with both the books AND the movies is that they have to end!

I love this movie. It was definitely one of my favorite Harry Potter movies. I loved how it showed just how much the kids grew up. The story grew with the readers and it was a lot more of a mature movie!

This was for sure one of the darkest of the Harry Potter films. I guess the level of fright has aged along with Harry and the gang. Still a very good movie.

Though no movie translates a novels true emotional experience, Order of the Phoenix will move your emotions more than the previous Potter films. The scene that was most moving, most emotionally provoking was done in silence, an excellent answer to the impossibility of expressing as much pain and anguish felt when reading the scene. The movie had excellent graphics but kept the subtleness that makes it still believable, considering how overdone most movies that use magic are, this one had well chosen scenes that still managed to provoke your imagination. I can't wait to buy it!

Next to the first Harry Potter film, this one's my favorite. Not only does it have action, but a great deepening of character, as well as the story's central theme, friendship is stronger than any power.

I'm not a huge Harry Potter fan, but I saw this movie with my child and she liked if that helps. I thought it was alright, but for the Harry Potter fans, it was great.
