Take The Lead was the best movie I seen in 2006. It just proves if you set your mind on anything you can achieve. Antonio Banderas was perfect for the part. Even my husband loved it.

Hmmm, let's see here... it's about as good as "Save the last dance"? If that helps anyone. The acting is awful, and the story line is very blahhh. A triumphant story about a group of troubled school kids, who overcome it all by learning to ballroom dance!!! Gimme a break!!! A "LAUGHER" at best, they must have been kidding when they wrote the script for this one.

It was very, very good. But I thought Step Up was better. It has kind of the same the story line. Kind of. Well it was very good. I loved Antonio Banderas. He was great!

This is definitely one of my favorite dance movies of all time!! Antonio Banderas holds the movie togheter very [...] very very well... haha... The dancing and screenplay is written n choreographed very well!! Much much much better than Step up... cant' even compare them... I wouldn't even call Step up a dancing movie o__0.. even tho both contain Jenna Dewan... despite watching Take the Lead 6 times on the plane... I didn't realize it was the same girl in Step up... not only cuz of the screen size... but the acting and dialogue... filming and overall portrayal of her characters were sooo differnt... in Take The Lead... she danced very well n seemed attractive... but in Step up... hmm no comment ~ haha... Anyways, definitely recommend this movie to anyone who enjoys a well put togehter piece of artwork =) and dancing!!

I really enjoyed this movie, the dance at the end was the best one I have ever seen. The beginning was kind of weak, but it had a great morrow, and very good dancing. I would recommend this movie to anyone that loves watching people dance.

I loved it, it was a really good movie. I love how they took modern music and mised it with spanish salsa music. I really sounded good. And I loved how they made people who look like they cant dance at all in to people who have been doing ti for years. Antonio B. Was really good at acting the part of the teacher also.

This movie is definitively a great Teen Movie that even young adults and probably adults of all age can enjoy. Antonio Banderas offers a great prestation, we already knew his comedian side from previous movie, but this time it's done with elegance, which makes it more enjoyable. This film is also great because it speaks out thruthfully - it does not make you believe everything should be easy in life, but it shows how being human - no matter the skin color, size or social class - is sometime so hard but so good. It's not going to revolution the movie industry, but it's offering a sweet moment.

Yes, it's a great movie. The dancing scenes are worth your movie ticket itself. And I have to say everyone was a great dancer.

This was an awesome movie in that it revolves around different styles of dancing (classical and hip hop), which is why I would go see it again.

The movie was so-so. I was under the assumption (since it was rated PG and some of the reviews mentioned it was good for both adults & kids) that it would be appropriate for my nine-year-old but there were parts of it that had me cringing and wanting to cover his eyes. There was quite a bit of swearing, sexual implications and some violence. My son was the only kid there but did say he liked it, that it was interesting. The ending copped out though... pretty lame. You know when it seems like they just slapped the ending on - it doesn't really resolve anything and it almost seems like a different movie? Antonio doesn't dance very much at all either... actually the dancing wasn't that impressive overall. I wouldn't really recommend it..

Surprised by this one - wife wanted to see it and there wasn't really anything else I was interested in so gave it a whirl. Banderas is good and believable as the teacher and the kids offer up some funny moments in there too. Obviously, Pierre did make quite an impact with this program as it was expanded after the fact across the city. Overall - better than expected.
