When Cousin Eddie joined Clark Griswold and his family for National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, the movie quickly becaume a holiday institution. An institution, of course, is where many think Cousin Eddie should reside. Randy Quaid again plays crude but lovable Eddie and Miriam Flynn returns as his wife in another comic skid on the Vacation banana peel. In a way, Christmas has always been a test of survival for Eddie and his brood. And that's truer than ever when they receive an expenses-paid holiday tour of the South Pacific and end up shipwrecked on a remote island.
