[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.] This wonderful film is noted better than the actual book. They really had made everyone enjoy this film although it did have a sad ending towards the end having the family leave on account of the Nazi. Julie Andrews had made this film quite a enjoyable atmosphere having herself being a nun and getting to be a nanny who puts the children into great spirits towards her musical talent and had made the captain surprised when he saw the talent. At first there had been misunderstandings and she left and came back because the children were very attached to her. She thought because the captain had a liking to her that she was going to be interfered from the woman he was going out with. Anyways there was some happiness and he the captain had married Maria and he himself had played guitar and had been a good singer and got the whole family involved towards going to concerts. This is a real good family film that will always bring memories and glad that on the television during holiday times they put it on for future families who has not seen it which shows the enthusiasm towards this film.

This well deserves to be in the number 1 spot on this list! A classic! It might not be as exciting as a movie like G. I. Joe, but it is a whole lot more profound, with great acting!

Very long and boring. Almost 3 hours. Not worth the $4 I paid for renting it.

The Sound of Music is a true classic. I own this movie, and never get tired of watching it. The singing is flawless, the songs are timeless, and it also has some history in it.

This movie I had seen many times ever since I was twelve and really to me as a child and even now whenever it is on, I tend to not get tired as it is one of those kind that brings out good spirit and done with joy although when it came to the end when they had no choice but to get out of the country because of the wrong doings this was the sad part but loved Julie Andrew and the children who she put the singing inspiration. This movie will always be noted to stand out. The movie was better then the Von Trapp Family book.
