This movie was incredible the Rock's second big screen appearance (the first of course being his cameo role as the monstrous Scorpion King like he was actually a life sized Scorpion in it for those who haven't seen Mummy Returns) anyways as I was saying this movie is without a doubt the best movie of 2002 fantastic, excellent cast, excellent plot, excellent action, and excellent everything for that matter wow when I first saw this at the theatre I thought to myself wow The Rock or as he is known as now Dwayne Johnson is going to be a big star and boy ain't that the truth. Wow excellent If you haven't seen it yet rent or buy it you will like it.

I saw the Scorpion King the first day it came out and thought to myself it's a hit. This movie had adventure and comody and romance. The scenes were very well done and on the big screen you could feel like you were up there in the middle of it all. Very entertaining!

The Rock is a horrible actor, and the plot totally predictable and cliche. All the unrealistically buxom women and banal dialogue made me glad that I didn't pay to see it in the theatres.

I saw the scorpion king a short time ago I was pleasently surprised I have heard that a wrestler would have the lead role and I thought that it said it all but I am happy to say that I am wrong I finding myself enjoying the mowie very much so I can only say one thing : GO DWAYNE THE ROCK JOHNSON.

This ripoff looked too staged and the slow-mo parts made it look too "hollywood". The backgrounds also looked rediculously fake to me... For instance, the shrubs behind the Scorpion Kind would move but the trees on the backdrop wouldn't, and they weren't even the same brightness or shade! This movie was fairly pathetic, Take my advice, see a well made movie such as the Lord of the Rings!

Not a bad movie if you like visual effects and lots of action. Cause get ready for some killing, killing and... oh yeah, more killing. That's what the Rock is there for. It really resembles the mummy with a bit less plot.

This movie was so stupid it was funny! The Rock spent the whole movie being his character The Rock. The story (if you noticed one) jumped around a lot. Good fight scenes though. I liked the sand water fall. Vince MacMahn was the PRODUCER. He required an assitant.

I saw this movie the first day it came out and I can say that I really liked it! For the people that where expecting Oscar material you have to be kind of dumb to think that a movie with The Rock in it is going to be some deep intelligent movie! It was made to entertain, it's all muscles and pretty girls! No brains what so ever but this is the whole point of this movie and it is very well made in it's genre especially compared to The Mommy!

The scorpion king is a great movie a must see for those who seek action, adventure and comedy. The rock at his best! I would definitely see this movie again, and recommend it to others. When this movie is on sale I would purchase it.

What can I say? You got to love a movie in which some is dead before the end of the opening credits. Overall The Scorpion King was what I expected, no more, no less. It reminded me very much of the old Conan movies. The Rock's acting had about the same depth as a deep-dish pizza, but he managed to balance it out with rippling biceps and cheesy catch phrases. The story line itself was good and the fights were very well done. Although, I was a little disappointed that an hour and a half of The Rock, I didnt see one Rock Bottom or Peoples Elbow. Regardless of this, the movie was fun. It was filled with action and didnt really ask you to think. In fact, it helps if you try not to think during this one. Start to finish the film had very little down time, which is good because the constant action kept the focus off The Rocks mediocre dialogue. I give this movie four squirrels and a chipmunk. I would recommend it to true fans of the action genre, or to any obsessed Rock fan who was the smell what his cooking on the big screen.

Two words: pathetically entertaining! There are approximately two minutes of plot which serve to explain why The Rock will kill people for an hour and a half, then The Rock proceeds to kill people for an hour and a half. There were a handful of interesting scenes, but on the whole I found myself laughing at the film when I wasn't supposed to be. It would probably be a great movie for people under the age of fifteen, but most other people will likely find it generic and derivative. Fun to watch, but leave your expectations at home.

I went to The Scorpion King the day it came out and and I absolutely loved it!!! It's now one of my favorite movies!!! The Rock is my favorite wrestler, and now my favorite actor!!! He was awesome!!! This movie had action, romance, suspence, comedy, adventure, everything you can ask for!!! The Rock was hotter than ever and the Sorceress was beautiful!!! I would so go see it again!!!

I don't really understand why people are questioning the Rock's acting talents... this is really nothing new, the guy has to go out every week and basically improv, I'm sure he can handle a written script. The movie was pretty good, with decent action scenes. The best part of the movie was the villain, he was awesome. Anyways, the Rock was a good action hero, but the dialogue was bad (especially at the end... what in the world was that all about?) Anyways, I give it a 6 because it kept me entertained...

Very boring movie. Every time something cool is about to happen, you guess easaly waht's going to happen. And it doesn't have any relation with the mummy films. It's just like, the scorpion king and that's all. Still, some stuff are cool but the rest is very boring.

I really enjoyed it for what it was: an action movie with comedy interspersed. It was well-done, The Rock did a lot better than I expected, and it had a lot of nice-looking ladies. Great movie, and I'd recommend anybody who likes the Rock, action movies or both to go see it. I wouldn't give it an Oscar, but it was still quite good.

The movie was AWESOME! The special effects were AMAZING! It was super corny. It was a James Bond type corny. The Scorpion King is one of those movies that is worth while seeing on the Big Screen. There was lots of action and killing!! But overall it was an excellent movie!

This movie was excellent. The acting was fabulous and so were the actors. The "ROCK" rocked in this movie. He didn't put on any airs and did a wonderful acting job in the movie. I just wish people would not compare this one with the "Mummy Movies" because it really does not reflect story wise in the Mummy Returns. We see the Scorpion King become the King of the land even before he becomes this obessive ruler and conquerer. So no the Mummy Returns had nothing to do with this movie. This movie was just an introduction to how he became the King. All in all, this movies ROCKS.

This movie was alright. Not the greatest of plots, but it was fun to see "The Rock" acting. There is no question that is movie is an action comedy. He was more comic relief than anything else in this flick. All in all, I give it one thumb up!

Silly, silly, silly. The first 10 minutes say it all. No character development. People get hit by arrows and fly through walls. No blood when people get hit by swords. Whimpy british bad guy. Weak leading female role. 20th century humor in 700BC and at that... it sucked. If you are over 15 you'll think the movie is stupid..
