Loved this movie! Very twisted, dark and demented, but also really well made! Great acting!

This movie wasn't the best for being funny, I like it better for the horror part of it. It's somewhat gory, there's at least 2 scenes that are quite extreme but just the fact that it's funny makes it not as bad.

A classic and very hilarious tribute to the zombie genre. My friends and I were laughing our heads off (no pun intended)

DVD: "Fido (Biling.)"
You have to be into weird movies, but there's actually a bit of a message with this one. The idyllic small town 50's feel of this movie is in dark contrast to the zombie aspect. You don't necessarily have to be into zombie movies, but if you're into weird, definitely go see it. You won't be disappointed. Billie Connely actually is quite endearing in it.

Making the most of its thin premise, Fido is an occasionally touching satire that provides big laughs and enough blood and guts to please gorehounds. At the same time, I kinda got the feeling that this could have just been an 8-minute bit on Mad TV or SNL. Just make sure you don't take the movie seriously. That's what makes it work so well is that it's a satire that is obviously not made to be taken seriously. For a one-joke movie, it sure does a better job exploring every possible permutation of that joke than, say, Blades of Glory. It's far from ever becoming a cult-favourite but it's entertaining enough to get a thumb's up from me.

I thought it was brilliant, a Pleasantville gone wrong sort of film noir. Truly a creative mind thought this up... Probably an all nighter and alot of sushi.

This movie made me laugh - not an easy thing to do. The humour is there, especially for the intelligent viewer. I recommend highly, and hope to see more in the same vein of Canadiana...

It's a very funny movie and the kind of funny I like, that is witty and clever. Actors, dialogs, plot, everything is good and makes for an unusual and very pleasant movie.

It was ok, I liked that it had a different twist, story was a bit slow. Overall better than most hollywood crap but could have been better with a bigger budget.

This movie is so good. Its very tongue in cheek and I thought it was quite an original idea for a zombie movie. Fantastic stuff. Especially funny seeing Billy Connolly, who I consider, like many others, to be THEE funniest guy alive, as a zombie! Definitely take the time to go to see this movie.

As a die-hard horror fan, I've found that MOST Hollywood-type horror films recently are lacking something. They all seem to be scripted from the same "formula" with lots of gore thrown in for the shock value. This movie was refreshingly different! Witty... Charming... Enchanting... Just some of the words I would use to describe this intelligently crafted film. The stark contrast of the 50's "sunshiney" lifestyle to the dark grim zombie war was handled very well. The "educational" film at the beginning was nicely done as well as the "Father Knows Best" attitude. I would highly recommend this film to anyone who enjoys dark sharp wit. While there are many good Canadian made films, there aren't too many I would go out of my way to see more than once. This film is worth the price of admission... 10 times over!

Depends. Very "mad Magazine/National Lampoon" spoof humour. Relies a great deal on retrospective take-offs of 1950's attitudes and shows, meaning that the humour is a bit of an acquired taste. Some of the spoofs are a bit grotesque ('Black' humour? ) and I thought that there were far too many humorous allusions coming too Fast and furious to fully absorb. However the concept is intriguing and has a wry effective social-commentary appeal for most. Under 30's beware... Spoofs may be too dated/obscure for you.

In the same league as "Shaun of the Dead" & "Undead", it's a comic take on the zombie genre. It's set in an alternate reality where zombies are a part of everyday life, and most people own one. Very, very funny. Billy Connolly is great as the title zombie (a little like Bub from "Day of the Dead", or the Monster from "Bride of Frankenstein" - he even smokes), Carrie-Anne Moss is great as the unhappy housewife, and Tim Blake Nelson is great as the zombie-phile next door. Also very good for a Canadian film. Required viewing for fans of the genre.

This movie is a combination of "Shawn of the Dead" and "Pleasantville". There is some rather comical and very dark situations, yet there are some sweet and tender moments in the movie as well (which I think means this is well written, considering it's a zombie movie!) What makes me very happy, is that it is a Canadian movie! Definitely worth dropping some coin to support a good Canadian movie :)

This movie did not disappoint, it was great from beginning to end. Alternately funny and charming, the 'in jokes' winked at those in the know. The design of the set, costumes, vehicles, and makeup was top notch and the actors made it a pleasure to watch - great casting too.

For those who enjoy a good satire, this is the right movie. My daughter was in this film (both tame and wild zombies)so it was a must see. I don't usually enjoy anything scary or suspenseful, so I wasn't expecting to enjoy this movie (other then seeing my daughter), but I was pleasantly surprised. I loved seeing parts of Kelowna on the screen and the movie was filmed in a way that made all the beautiful colours POP!! Very fascinating and I dare say... Fun to watch... I would not hesitate to recommend this to viewers.

I enjoyed this movie very much. Helen robinson did a very nice job in portraying her role as the dominant female in the relationship and the character that 'wears the pants' in the family. Billy Connolly did a fantastic job for a role that had no lines whatsoever. I found the movie to be a bit towards the dark side of comedy and was surprised that the rating for this was PG. Even more so I was surprised by how easy it was to show anything that might've seemed vulgar or cruel in the movie, but at the same time make it look extremely funny. It was a very original movie, with lots of colours and great makeup, the graphics were a bit lacking and I found the story to be a little to focused and unflexible. The ending was a bit predictable but overall it was great and I laughed throughout

I was somewhat disappointed, I was expecting much more laughs. Mixing comedy & 'horror' is a challenge. Shaun of the dead was much better. Fido is well acted and the 'back to the fifties' look is a success... And it's Canadian!

Some nice satirical moments, but really was nowhere near as funny as I'd hoped.

I found that this was quite boring. I was sitting there just waiting for it to end. It had a good plotline but not the kind of zombie movie I was expecting. I like my zombie movies with action and gore. If you're like me, wait for this movie to come out on dvd.

This is a great little movie for "smart" viewers; i. E, if you like mindless action flicks with no story, you won't get it... A world-class parodiable film made right here at home!

Unique and very entertaining. A good time at the cinema. There needs to be more Canadian movies like this.

A funny film for the intelligent movie goer! I loved the layers, the look and being at a film where the audience laughed out loud. Very cool.

This movie looks great (the colours, sets, cars and costumes are techincolorriffic), sounds great, has great comic performances, tons of action packed into it, and most importantly it's a hilarious mash-up of various movie genres from zombies to lassie to romance etc. Totally original.

Wonderful movie and a really great performance by Carrie-Anne Moss. She plays an excellent 50's type mom!

A highly original film with great production value and a keen eye for Black humor. As if the Cohen brothers made a zombie movie. One of the finest films I have seen in a long time.
