Timothy Olyphant would be way more famous if he had a better name. Plus T. O. is already taken by a celebrity so we can't call him that. Mac needs more roles like this one. I have a feeling this movie could have been better than it was with all the pieces it was given.

I wondered if after this many years if they could live up to the original Die Hard series of films. It did. Good story & good stunt/effects.

I loved this movie very much, there was great action and had great comedy scenes, it was very dun to watch Bruce Willis go through those dangerous and life threatining stunts to survive, it is a great movie for any die hard fan or any action fan.

Awesome movie! Best Die Hard yet! Bruce Will doesn't let his age stand in the way of a great performance. Interesting "bad guys" as well... not just some evil monster who is easy to hate but an intelligent individual you can almost sympathize with. Go watch it!

Pretty good movie. Good 'old' action, great job by Bruce Willis (once again) Even though the plot is a bit cheesy, the most distracting part of the film are some unjustified details (such as, 'how does he find them? ', 'why doesn't he die after... ? ', etc.) Despite all that, if you haven’t seen this movie yet, it’s time to watch it.

Not a big Bruce fan but enjoyed the movie and can recommend it for all the action and the occasional laugh.

Complete and utter b*ll*cks. Considering the three previous films were at least partially aimed at adults this was a real disappointment. Pathetic plot, weak characters and worst of all - a phone in performance from the main star. Flashy effects don't make up for a lame assed story and no effort from the headliner. I enjoyed the first three in this series - I have to say I hope this one burys it.

This movie wasn't the best but it was pretty good but it would be better if there were more girls in it but its worth paying and die hard 3 and 2 are way better.

The explosions were AWESOME and all the hard core s@#* Bruce Willis was amazing! I would highly recommend this movie to anyone... over the age of 13.

It was an incredible movie, I mean come on, the movie was fabulous, if you see that movie, you would fell like watching it over and over again. While the movie is on, you cant even take your eyes off the screen cause of the very cool and nice actions scene. You must go see it, totally worth it.

The best Die Hard in the franchise, you've got to see the unrated version, more blood and more swearing. [...]

With all respect to Bruce Willis, this is a total waste of time. The plot sucks. Characters are dumb and self-centered. Justin Long is annoying. The lack of realism is outrageous. There is this big truck, but instead of carrying bombs or golds, it carries hackers and computers. You get the idea? Yeah.

Definitely not a masterpiece. But worth seeing for some great action. Actually laughed a lot throughout this movie as it became so ridiculous. If you like action packed tough guy films then go see this one.

Excellent movie! I always enjoy Bruce's acting. Has great graphics and it's MEGA entertaining! Word of advice: Go get your popcorn and goodies and go to the bathroom First, because you will not want to get up after it starts! Gotta see it on the BIG screen!

Thoroughly entertaining. And the bad guy has a meaningful purpose, not something lame like wanting revenge or wanting to take over the world.

Honestly, I had different expectations about this movie. The special effects are excellent, but a little bit unrealistic. The story is weak. It is not a movie that makes you feel on the edge of your seat, you know what is coming next and the ending is very predictable. I love action movies, but this one was not up to my expectations.

Found Myself enjoying this film despite myself. There is truth in the movie if you care to look. Timothy Oliphaunts characters rant about the media was spot on. The only difference between the crowd scenes and reality is that the military would be controlling the masses. Love the idea of taking control away from the elite. Great movie, the Bruce Willis stare at his daughters 'non' boyfriend is a classic moment.

Oops... (my parents showed me a movie which is intended to be viewed by an older audience...) I think that it was full of action, exaggeration, and exuberance. However, I think that this movie was just made to make Bruce Willis appear to be invincible, totally cool, and acrobatic. While Bruce is attempting to look cool, it is an impediment to the exact reality to the movie. There wasn't much of a story, which is probably why I dared put a 6.

The original Die Hard is a masterpiece but since then it has been slipping in quality sequel by sequel and this version lives up to that standard. Willis is great, the action plentiful, his sidekick tolerable, and the plot semi-believable, only the heavy handed use of CGI special effects weight this film down into the realm of good to just okay, but not great. Better would have been believable stunts performed by real people not blue screened stretches of human improbability that make a person wonder if we are watching John McClane or his character David Dunn from Unbreakable.

As a big fan of the Die Hard trilogy I must admit that Live free or die hard is not the best one of the four. I found it lacking in the usual Die Hard fashion with McClane's excessive profanity, most likely to attain its PG rating. It is none the less entertaining and worth seeing on the big screen if you enjoy explosions and special effects... Just dont expect a profound dialogue from John McClane, not that you were going to see it for that reason! Enjoy.

[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.] One of the most ridiculous movies I have seen, so incredible and idiotic: a jet fighter plane going flying slowly under an elevated road bridge, missiles that blow down concrete structures with steel reinforcements like nut shells and so on. The story most incredible. Wasted time and money.

This movie was amazing. Even if I had bad seating I enjoyed it like crazy it was thrilling I think it was the best of the 4. I wouldn't mind going to see it again. This is a must see. There was everything. Action, romance, thriller. The effects were amazing too.

I didn't have great expectation about this movie as Bruce Willis is getting so old compared with the first Die Hard movie. I was surprised with the plot, the pace and the actions. It was a very well made movie. Some funny lines in between too! Worth seeing it even though you're not a big fan of die hard.

This is classic Bruce Willis and very funny in that deadpan way he can turn a phrase. His timing is perfect and the script is hilarious. The action is great and keeps you on the edge of your seat until the end of the film, which is great - it's what most movie-goers who chose this film are looking for. My only criticism is that it is a little formulaic. This is a good thing and a bad thing. If you like the Die Hard movies, you're going to get more Die Hard. On the other hand, you know the drill.

The plot in the movie never fell apart and the action always came at the right moments. It was also amazing to see how vulnerable the government can be to a simple malfunction. But that's when the good old boy steps in and takes the heat. This is truly his best die hard movie!
