I don't know what to say really this movie seems kind of unworthy for a Will Smith movie I thought the plot was interesting and I think it would have been a lot better had they told use a few more things like spending more than 5 minutes telling us how the mysterious virus spread to the whole of the earth and wiped out most of the population a little depressing but none the less entertaining. Check it out if you don't have anything better to do.

It's a masterpiece. You really have to pay attention to the little things. If you watch it more then once, you'll notice things that you didn't notice the previous time. And will Smith prove why he's the the most paid actor in Hollywood.

DVD: "I Am Legend"
The movie could have bin alot faster it can get slow and sometimes Will Smith acts like he is in a comedy not a action movie. But I say check it out.

Best movie ever!!! I watched it 3 times and cried every time when the sam dies. Will Smith acts really well and he was the perfect one for the movie. All I can say is :BEST MOVIE EVER IN THE HISTORY OF HISTORY!!!

Lots of younger people will not realize that this is an updated remake of a film by the same name staring Vincent Price. The original is in bw and is available free on the web. Remake good up to a point-terrible bombastic rendition of zombified people ruins attention to detail scenes of an abandoned city and Will Smiths acting is wasted against such Saturday morning amateurish zombie special effects. Cinema Nouveau Hollywood kibble really.

I thought the acting in this movie was quite good, and the storyline definitely kept me interested. But after the dog incident, I hated the movie. I was so bitter and had a hard time watching it after that. However, since the movie invoked such emotion from me, I have decided that it really is a good movie... although it's definitely not a feel-good flick.

Dull and boring. Beyond that, why not install a two inch thick steel door (out of a bank vault maybe) or five inch thick plexiglass (unbreakable short of a bomb), not to mention UV lighting both inside and out and run off an internal generator? - may sound tough but he was a scientist and had all the time and resources in the world available to him.

I saw this movie when it was out in IMAX and I loved it, I actually cried when Will spoke to the manniquin. Not that scary but the story itself it great and was very realistic in the sense of how Will reacted when he realised he was not alone...

This movie has no identity. You are not sure whether to be scared or laugh or cry... great performance by Will Smith and the german shepherd in the movie is too cute and cool... overall it's a good renter.

I thoroughly enjoyed this movie, although I was expecting a bit more. The camera work was fantastic, in my opinion, and the scenes of dilapidated New York City were quite impressive. Good action with realistic lines, despite the unrealistic situation. Will Smith, who I am not a fan of, gave a star performance in this movie.

From action to solitude, horror to emotions, this movie has it all. The most important aspect of this film is the loneliness experienced by the main character; this was masterfully portrayed by the director. Of course, not without the help of Will Smith, who once again, has done an outstanding job.

A masterpiece, an incredible movie that keeps you guessing and hungry for more. For all those who keep calling the creatures in this film, 'zombies' are truly ignorant and did not pay attention to the important parts in the movie at all. A zombie, is someone who has died and comes back to life in the same corpse. These, however, are mutated humans. Dark-seekers as they later call them in the film. And all those questions about how dogs, lions, deer ect. Are not yet infected. Did you not hear Will Smith mention near the middle of the film that Sam was infact immune to air-born infection? Since Sam is a dog and a mammal, it is probably the same for the deer and lions. And to all those who are comparing this film to Omega Man, are clearly the most ignorant of all. First of all, books and movies are very different things. When film makers create a movie, keep in mind that they also have to fit the entire story in about an hour and a half to two hours, keep the audience's attention and much more. Besides, I Am Legend was only partly based on the Omega Man, not entirely. This was an excellent film and I highly recommend it for those who love jump scenes and curious, mysterious stories. A beautiful film.

It was amazing it's suspenseful and has a tiny bit of horror movie characteristics but not too much, it has a great story line and has you full of questions, I was slightly mad about the end but then I realized it was saying being Christian is good it just said believing in something is good, great move 10 out of 10 a must see.

The idea was original... almost. Smiths acting was Smiths acting, interchangeable from most of his characters but likable all the same. It dragged on, there were some sweet moments, some excitement, but all in all... not that great. As for the ending... Did they run out of film? Is that the best that they could do? Just stick in a new character and Scooby-Do it and hope no one notices what a terrible ending they just bought into... it was insulting to say the least. A great build up to a terrible ending... *chuckle* yes... lets talk to the vampires and see what they think, shall we? Would you pay to see this movie Mr. Vampire? I wouldn't bet on it. Mistigush.

I thought the movie was very entertaining, despite some obvious flaws in the story line. Not to nitpick, and not being an epidemiologist or anything, but I found it laughable that the plot revolves around a virus that causes mutations in both humans and dogs - but apparently not in other mammals such as deer, lions etc. Curious, and way too convenient, in my humble opinion. Nevertheless, I enjoyed seeing the post-apocalyptic New York City - the special effects here were brilliant. Will Smith was as good as anyone could have been in this role, facing the script challenges that he did.

I thought it was really good. I love Will Smith now. =D I'm reading the book, it's quite different. The Omega Man is like the book. I saw I Am Legend first, and personally I prefer the new movie to The Omega Man. Way more entertaining. And more Will Smith, and dog. And excitement. And NOT stereotypical Lisa...

The "last man on earth - but wait, not really" idea is not new. Unfortunately for this remake, it falls short of making any enhancements to this old idea. I like Will Smith, but not in this one. He shines when he is able to play an animated character, and this character feels too much like clay. The pace is a bit slow, and I don't really understand why it played Imax. It doesn't take advantage of the Imax facilities. Perhaps, I am too critical of this movie because my expectations were too high. But if the movie is hyped, especially given a title such as "I am Legend", then I do expect this movie to be legendary. It is not legendary.

The storyline was good, although the concept of alive/dead/morphed humans is not a new one how they came to be is a fairly original idea. Smith's acting is good, better than usual, the movie contains several unexpected turns, though the very end was somewhat predictable.

I wouldn't say I'm a huge fan of Will Smith but he really impressed me in this movie. It was at times heartbreaking to watch him try to exist and go on with life knowing what lurks out there and thinking he may be the only person left alive. This is not your typical zombie movie as it focuses more on Will Smith and Sam (his canine companion) than on the actual "night seekers" and is a lot deeper than a movie like 28 Days Later. I really really recommend it. This is the type of movie that leaves you thinking about it long after you leave the theatre.
