Loved It! Its good to watch a film that informs the public about the things that human beings face. It was educational and entertaining not to mention well acted and inspiring. A film for all ages.

It's a very nice movie, it can be true. How people go to another country to have a "better life" leaving children.

I am a Mexican and I know a lot of the actors specially "Rosario" the mother in this movie. She really impressed me. The eventual friend that Carlitos met in his trip to USA, is one of the best comics in Mexico. He also does a great performance, quite unusual for him, but a great job. I should say that it is a good movie, not close to the truth, but for those who do not know the abuses and difficulties that Mexicans have to suffer even before arriving to the border. In summary is a good movie, with a great acting. It is worthy. Also I recommend to go and see Bella (where there is another great acting with another Mexican)

[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.]
It is as endearing as returning to Mom and Dad bursting with tales to tell after that first summer camp. It also brazenly panders to an anti-elitist mano of the streets ethic. Carlitos is a brave little boy whose courage and longing are gratifyingly rewarded. Rosario sacrifices her maternal instincts for him for four years. Enrique sacrifices himself heroically for the boy before the police. Paco sacrifices his heart for one dance with Rosario. With all this libidinal sublimation going on one wonders who has energy left to cook the tortillas. Despite the unctuousness of the underclass, it is a charming little fable of redemption.

This is definitely a worthwhile movie to see, not the greatest drama movie out there currently - that honour goes to "BELLA", but I do recommend it.

One thing this is coommon to most children is to win their parents approval... Without your parents around it is difficult to grow into fufilled adulthood... This movie shows the importance of embrace and mentor the children of the world so that it encourages them to become good citizens of their country.

It tries hard but fails; too many unlikely events. Not a great role by Eugenio Derbez as Enrique but the rest of the crew are ok. Most of the movie is in Spanish with English subtitles. It's a «feel good» and quite predictable, although it's not a lost evening.

It's nice but a little cliché, the story is a déjà vu, the young actor is great, lot of emotions & it's still this way today for young Latinos who wants to live the same dreams as everyone else on this earth.

Has much as I want to sing the praise of this movie, there is something in that is stopping me from doing so. Sure this is a good heart warming movie and the acting was excellent but if your like me and you have seen this type of movie before, you could predict everything that would happen before it did. The fact that all the cliche were there and that I could spot them did take some of the magic of the movie and I wasn't into this movie as much as some of the other spectator. But I still think that it's a really good movie and it's worth seeing.

it was a great movie, shows how people in mexico go illegally to America to provide a better life for their loved ones back in Mexico. Also at the same time shows that the bond and love between mother and child knows no boundaries, and is forever. I loved the movie, and am looking forward to getting it on dvd.

Excellent acting especially by the mom and son. It has a documentary quality as it shows the hardships that illegals endure. A very heartwarming story where the best qualities in many people are brought out by the little boy.

I've been watching the trailer for this movie since last year on cinemas and finally it's here. I wasn't dissapointed; good acting and an excellent opportunity to understand a little bit about the immigration of latin-americans into northern countries. Eugenio Derbez is one of the best mexican comedians and performs (realistically) as a bad tempered, selfish illegal. (Carlos - Toluca, Mexico)

Very good movie. A good way of understanding the illegal workers in the US and the reasons for them to leave their countries.
