A enjoyable movie with good acting although it was a bit Cheesy and the comedy was a little to light at times.

I so wanted to enjoy this movie but... There was no chemistry between George Clooney and Rene Zellweger and some of the directing was really film schoolish and cheesy. They were probably going for cute and funny but it missed the Mark. I think one's reach should always exeed one's grasp, so I take my hat off to George Clooney for continuing to work on his directing skills. However, Good Night and Good Luck was a much better effort.

Good fun - a real old-fashioned screwball romantic comedy. Take your partner and enjoy - good repartee between Clooney and Zellweger and a good natured spirit that is refreshing.

Bit of fluff but the music alone was worth the price of admission.

It was boring, I fell asleep! My wife woke me up and I fell asleep again. Even as a sports fan the game action was brutal. What a terrible ending. I know refs are blind but please.

George Clooney had better stick to acting and leave the writing and directing to someone else. This was a really bad movie, with few if any redeeming qualities. It was 0 for 2. For the men in the audience, it had absolutely no entertainment value as a football movie and, for the women in the crowd, absolutely no entertainment value as a romance. To say that there was no chemistry between Clooney and Zellwigger would be an understatement. I felt like I was watching a really amateurish stageplay poorly adapted for the big screen. My wife absolutely loves George Clooney and even she had nothing good to say. Save your money. Don't even rent it when Letterheads comes out on DVD.

It's cute, but it doesn't live up to what I've come to expect from George Clooney.

My husband and I really enjoyed this movie. It was light and entertaining. There was very little violence and a good story. I recommend it.

Here's the thing, no special effects, nothing gets blown up, no car chases, no nudity, no preachen from the left, far or otherwise, and set in 1925 when the several references to sargent york are made which went over everyones head but the one or two people in the theater that either paid attention in history class or saw the old black and white garry cooper movie. I went specifically to see Clooney do something fun for a change and it worked. This is a nice light hearted comedy that is a joy to watch. If you want a change from the over the top will farrel fair that seems to be dominating the landscape these days.

It won't change the world, but it made me laugh. What more do you want from a romantic comedy about old-timey American football?

No one got their head blown of in a bloody mess, there was no unbelievably animated car chase, nobody was able to climb a wall or leap across buildings. Very refreshing. This movie was kind of old fashioned and required some mental participation. I would not recommend for people that use the descriptor," 1" or "10".

Hello, My name is Victor and I am years old. Today I went and saw the Leatherheads, let me tell you... I ran out before the movie ended. I think it is not fair for people to waist their valuble good time and money. I mean, there is not even a point or lesson to this movie. It is byfar the WORST movie I have ever seen. I went with my friend John and he really disliked it as well. I recomend you not see this movie unless you are 120 years old. I am not here to hate, I am here to critisize, I am here for the truth, and justice. Do not see this movie! P. S hi...

Really disappointed, went with a friend and it was so boring that she fell asleep. The only worth while time was the funny previews of movies to come. Not a "George Clooney" best! And the theatre was freezing to boot! Disappointing evening.

Awesome movie! Very funny, and smart. John Krasinksi holds up incredibly well against Clooney and Zellweger (and looks dreamy while doing it) This film is also visually wonderful.

So not worth the money. This movie was brutal and half the theatre left half way though. The movie dragged on and on and we couldn't stand another minute of this dreadful film. Certainly not an attention grabber.

At best, I can say I enjoyed Renee Zellwegger's hats. Slapstick humour throughout that might impress young boys, and the soundtrack made me want to cover my ears. We were in the theater with about 15 people, and 4 of them walked out... not good odds. Skip it.

This movie seemed to drag on for too long. It was funny in parts but there weren't enough funny parts. The best thing about the movie was how good looking George Clooney is.

The movie has all the ingredients of being a good movie, except it loses its way in not knowing if it wants to be a comedy, drama or romance. The result is a slow-paced, mixed up mash of mediocre story telling. Could have been much better.

Not Clooney's best. I started to fall asleep during the first half until my daughter nudged me to stop snoozing. Was Faith Hill in it or was I dreaming? Anyway, I felt like I was watching live theatre with less than whimsical verbal exchanges between Clooney and Zellweger. This storyline has been done to death and the ending was the typical happy ending, but my wife enjoyed it so it couldn't be all bad.

Well, Clooney gets marks for directing hutzpah. He is a gifted dramatic actor but pretty dark in romantic comedy and an awkward comic director. Renee Zellweger is all chipmunk cheeks and kewpie doll pout. None of the gravitas of a Rosalind Russell in the great screwball comedies of the late 30's and 40's. And Clooney is no Cary Grant, either. The story has a few too many minor threads (jingoistic heroism, corrupt management, American competitiveness).. a tighter film would have focused on the romantic competition between The Bullett and Dodge for Renee's brittle charms. Dashes of rapid fire banter are well written and the gentle pace of the film is a relief. Entertaining films needn't have an explosion or car chase every five minutes. And that is what this film is, a modestly entertaining throw-back to a gentler era. Charleston anyone?

I admit to being surprised by Leatherheads. I figured the trailers pretty much showed all the interesting bits, but I enjoy George Clooney in general, and movies about sporting events in particular, so I figured it couldnt be all bad. It was, actually, all good. George was perfectly on pitch (I know, a baseball pun about a football movie - sue me), and John Krasinski held his own. Rene Zellweger, who I normally find annoying, wasn't in fact annoying. The story was more about the football than the love triangle, and the comedy was clever and silly in a high-brow sort of way. Good, clean, but very adult humour. Touchdown.
