At first when I saw the preview I thought it would be goofy but when I saw it it was fabulous one of the funniest and best movie I ever saw. I was going to put more than 10/10 but that was the highest mark I could give it. Oh one more thing WATCH THE MOVIE!

No character development, terrible character stereotypes, weak plot with little direction, this movie is a testament to how cheap it has become to create animation... not much money for animators, or writers. Even my little daughter was asking what the heck was going on.

I dont care too much for monkeys so for me it was a bad movie, however my little one (4) liked it and well, thats about the age group that would like it. It's a little off the wall for an older than six crowd as the storyline is a little immature for an older crowd. Graphics are okay but not Dreamworks or Pixar (who know how to entertain both a young and older audience at once) I didnt hate it but I didnt feel that 40.00 in tickets and popcorn was worth it so my recommendation is to rent it on DVD, I am sure it will be released real soon.

This was very close to the worst movie I have ever seen, beaten only by "Meet the Spartans" Even the kid 7 and 4 found this boring. Seriously, give this movie a miss - wast of money.

I'm 18, when my girlfriend asked me to go and see this movie, I wasn't really "happy" , altho since I'm a nice guy I went and watched it; surprise! It was quite funny in fact, great animations, funny story, great voices. Really enjoyable even for young adults or adults, not a must see, but definitely not a loss of time.

It was the best movie (comedy) ever! The chimps looked so cute and so realistic! The astronaut suit on titan looked really cute! I love that movie! It is the best I have seen!

I give this movie a 10, but with a few reservations. Part of the reason I graded it higher than I would normally (a 7) is because there is a real campaign by the uneducated to slam this movie just to make themselves look good (in the eyes of whom? ) This movie is much higher brow (and in my opinion better) than March's "Horton Hears a Who" yet silly enough to make the five-year-old sitting beside me giggle almost constantly with laughter. Where this movie goes wrong is there is nothing for high school student to trade school graduate who is between the ages of 16 to 40. If you know your history of the U. S. space program and enjoy satire, along with subtle adult humor, then you will love this movie. The animation is very good and the voice acting fantastic. Last summer's "The Simpsons, The Movie" did satire way better and had a much more broad appeal, but this movie is still very good. Being released on the same weekend as "The Dark Knight" and "Mama Mia" was just as stupid a move as Warner Brothers releasing "Speed Racer" as a major summer release earlier in the season (another underrated movie) "Space Chimps" will likely be on DVD just in time to fit in a stocking or under the Christmas tree, and is destined to have an extremely short theatrical run. Grandparents, take your grandchildren and have an enjoyable afternoon at the movies. Soccer moms, rebellious school skipping teens and bubbas stay home. This movie is way over your heads.

The animation was appallingly bad - video-game quality, I'd say. There were many rude jokes and suggestive language. On the positive side, my 5-year-olds liked it and were able to follow the plot easily. And at least the movie didn't drag, things happened quickly. I hope I never have to see it again.
