This movie could be better. It is not entertaining all through and the characters are not well-developed. You don't end up relating to them or feeling attached to them as you should. Qualities of characters that would endear you to them are introduced but not developed which makes this movie not that great. This is from an adult perspective. From a kid perspective, it might be okay but even then it needs to be more entertaining.

The animation was so realistic, and every detail was perfect. The story was amazing and very emotional. It was just a story that someone could relate to emotionally and still enjoy a tale of fantasy.

Movie made no sense yet I kind of enjoyed it in a laughable way, the graphics were kool, yet this movie could have been a 10x better movie.

It was an excellent movie. Very exciting from the beginning to the end. The story was intriguing and the visuals were amazing. The rollercoaster-like scene was especially good.

A really good movie. My best friend saw it, and she said it sucked, but don't listen to that. It was a bit for younger kids, but all-in-all a great film.

What age group was this movie directed at? I definitely wouldn't take a small child to see it, as there are scenes that would be quite disturbing for anyone under the age of... let's say... 9. But any child over the age of 11 or so would be extremely bored after the first 5 minutes. The moral of the movie was absolutely ridiculous and the story line was absurd in an almost uncomfortable way. The characters were extremely cliche and made no attempt to connect with the audience whatsoever. This is one of those movies that's almost so laughably bad that it makes it enjoyable to watch... almost.

[...] I think this was the most wonderfull film I have ever seen... I feel so touched by the story and believe that it takes a very good imagination to write such an amazing, thrilling, touching tale, it was an eye opening experience... thank you so much!

It was a good movie I think it could have been a bit better though. All the same if it's on in a theater near you, you should give it a shot. I liked the characters they almost looked like real people.

Last year I saw "The Polar Express" and I thought it was an incredable movie and bought it yesterday on DVD. Finally I saw it again in 3D and it was even better than the year before. Things that I have forgotten and saw different things (thanks to 3D) Tom Hanks was great, as usual, playing all of the male parts. He generated a warm and fuzzy feeling. The animation was clean and was very presice. You can't appreciate the movie until you see it on 3D. The Polar Express is a must film to see and I highly recommend it.

Anyone that has this picture rated below 8 did not let himself go within himself when he did believe in Santa as a child. I'm 75 years old and as soon as the picture started, I went back in time with tears in my eyes. What memories this picture brought me, thanks a million times...

I dont know why this movie has such a high rating? I thought it was boring and there was no real likable characters. I can understand why they are rereleasing it. It was a flop the first time in the theatre and I havent heard anything about the film since last Christmas when it opened. [...] this has a very high average and I thought it sucked!!

I saw this movie in 3-d, while it scared my 3 yr old that the characters were seemingly jumping out at her. The rest of us were in awe of how you could count the eyelashes on the characters. I have added this to my MUST watch Christmas movies!

A masterpiece! A timleless Xmas classic to go see with family every year. It'll get you into the Xmas spirit and reveal what Xmas is really all about. Magical, imaginative and a powerful message to the cynics of anything sentimental. How could you not love this movie?.. especially in 3D - powerful!

I was hyped by the trailer. The concept, artwork and music excited me into thinking this film would be a special journey. What a let-down! Long before this film was over, I felt angry and disappointed. The core story is that Christmas is about nothing but getting presents and if you don't get one then you really ought to feel depressed and worthless. Besides that, this film is full of cliches and standard boilerplate Hollywood characterizations. I thoroughly agree with the rater [...] who said there should be warnings for films 5-. This thing might entertain a young child or someone with a mind already contaminated by seasonal materialism. But as a film it is a pathetic waste of resources because the script really sucks. It only pushes one's understanding farther from the true meaning of Christmas.
