I usually hate romance or drama movies, but this and I am Sam just touched me. I loved so much, I watched it 7 times before I bought it. Now, I know like half the script by heart. A defenint must see, in fact I give it 25. Its number 3 on my top 5 favorite movies. 1Big Fish 2I am Sam 3Dear Frankie 4My cousin Vinnie 5The Sixth Sense. A REAL TEARJERKER :) IN A GOOD WAY.

This movie is more than I expected, it kind of reminded me of ''Les Choristes'' so if you enjoyed it, you will probably like this one as well. The story and the dialogues are brilliant, but beside Gerard Butler, the acting is a bit weak. You will definitely wanna cry from time to time (even if you are a real man)!

You have to see this movie! I didn't know what to expect when I went to see it and it still took me by surprise. All the characters were wonderfully acted and the story was touching and well thought out. The only downside was that the movie seemed so short-I could have happily sat there for another hour!

Highly enjoyable Small budget film. Brilliant dialogue. No schmaltz... even though it could have been warranted.

Amazingly touching, beautiful and inspiring. I recommend it to everyone even if they don't like dramas that much. Very good acting and very sexy Gerard Butler!! You can't go out of the cinema without being profoundly touched.

Very humane characters, good actors, nice colours and settings and a good, realistic ending.

Very touching... simple yet rememberable... not a comedy or action or romance movie... nothing fancy... the characters in the movie make it seem "real"... I love frankie... he doesnt say much in the movie but you still feel a connection with him.

Very well acted. You won't cry or laugh in this movie, but you'll have a warm feeling about it. Ending was inconclusive. Not Oscar material, but worth seeing.

This movie shows the value of love between parent and child. How a mother will sacrifice everything for her son. But also how the son is wise beyond his years and how he has learned from his Mother's compassion how to give and accept love.

A beautiful movie, very heartfelt and touching. A down-to-earth movie, with real to life characters. One of the best movies I've seen in a long time, and I can't wait to see it again. I just might have to own this one. Very highly recommended.

Simple yet so touching, deep, marvelous... Nothing flashy, quite down to earth which made it realistic (unlike sooo many of these movies) and you leave the theater with thoughts to meditate on... The young boy was superb, Emily Mortimer wow! And Gerard Butler at his best... You could really "feel it"! Amazing movie, I definitely recommend it, will probably see it again, would it be only to listen to the beauty of the accents (but there's also much more than that)

To begin I feel that this movie is singular in its kind. It somewhat unique on its perspectives on life and I could very well say that this movie will alter your persceptive of life.

I have a problem with the Irish accent, but this time I got about 95% of it. This is a «chick flick», not for every guy out there.
