Awesome Movie! Christian Bale is great! The Dark Night is tad bit better though. But of course you have to watch this one before the other. Great plot though!

Bottom line: Even with the success of "The Dark Knight", Batman Begins is a great movie in its own right.

A fantastic way of Re-igniting the Batman franchise that was long that dead and Christian Bale brings that depth and the origin of Batman. What I mean is in every single movie of the Batman franchise Bruce Wayne is already Batman at the start so this does serve as to explain how Batman learned his supreme fighting style and mysterious Bat like look. A great movie both in the theater and at home.

This Batman was very different from the others... But in a good way! It was much darker than the older ones, and it seemed to focus more on Bruce Wayne more than Batman. Which could be a good thing, because it makes you think of who Batman is in a different perspective. You don't just see the Batman running around, saving the day, but you can almost know how he's feeling while he's doing it, since you know how Bruce feels. It's not just the Batman who you see on the outside, but the," normal," billionaire Bruce Wayne on the inside. Put it all together and you get THEE Batman! (Oh, and Jonathan Crane (Scarecrow)was amazing^^)

It's not a very lively film, but it's entertaining, thunderous, and visioned with excellence. The development is steady, and the pace is remotely sustained. It's a success but not an amazement.

This was great, I would love to watch it again, it beats spiderman 1 and 3 to a pulp and is right there with spiderman 2. I love how they showed back storys on how Bruce Wayne became Batman and Liam Neeson was MAGNIFICENT as teaching Batman and he made a perfect villain, I would see this movie again and again.

[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.]
Let me start by saying that I'm a huge BATMAN FAN, but this; this was an insult not only to my intelligence, but to BOB KANE'S as well. Ironically, I felt like this was the KNIGHTFALL SAGA and BALE'S BATMAN was trying to surpass KEATON'S BATMAN the way JEAN PAUL VALLEY tried to surpass BRUCE WAYNE. Bruce Wayne's BATMAN is a self made man, a self made man does not get everything he needs to fight crime conveniently. NOLAN, GOYER, and BALE seem to think it's the suit and the gadgets that make BATMAN, BATMAN much in the way JEAN PAUL VALLEY took the going around beating the snot out of people approach as opposed to BURTON'S and KEATON'S BATMAN/BRUCE WAYNE who showed the intelligent side such as figuring out THE JOKER'S poison code and in BATMAN RETURNS where he's making the repairs on the BAT (MOBILE) by himself and KEATON can kick ass, he doesn't rely on trick BLAIR WITCH PROJECT filmmaking the way BALE relies on everyone else. While it did have more characters from the actual comic book, that was also part of the problem, they make us care nothing about them instead choosing to focus on self-indulgent ChristIAN BALE. Plus, the over abundance of villains CARMINE FALCONE (I thought it would have so much better if JOE CHILL were the crime boss, rather than BRUCE coming back all "Boo-hoo, f@#k everyone else, I'm not becoming BATMAN until I see the guy who killed my parents get shot." SCARECROW, my favorite villain wasted (A potato sack over your head makes you scary? I guess they couldn't afford ski masks and panty hose in their $135,000,000 budget) RA'S AL GHUL/HENRI DUCARD whoever the [...] LIAM NEESON was supposed to be was so bland (With this overabundance of villains, I feel like I'm entering BATMAN & ROBIN territory here), it would impress me if he could bild his own weapon to destroy GOTHAM rather than relying on BRUCE WAYNE to help him destroy the city (Steal something from BRUCE WAYNE and use it to destroy GOTHAM, gee where have I seen that before? Plus stealing a device that sucks the water out of things? Boy, for a movie that tries so hard not to be like BATMAN & ROBIN or the original BATMAN THE MOVIE where they show BATMAN & ROBIN struggling to climb up a wall and suddenly a guest star pops out of the window, only in BATMAN BEGINS it's a little kid that BATMAN throws his 10,000 dollar telescope that Lucius Fox gave to him to some kid.) I could go on and on, but if I can stop one, just one person from seeing the DARK KNIGHT I will sleep better, unlike the citizens of GOTHAM who not only have to worry about CROOKS but a guy in a TANK killing COPS and crashing trains into public buildings.

Why am I giving this a 4 out of 10? Is it because I dislike Batman? Not really, although there are more interesting and captivating superhero's. Is it because this movie took a serious, dramatic approach to the Batman story? No, actually, thats exactly why I went to see this movie, I thought to myself," Finally, a real and serious Batman film." So why the low rating? Because the two times I have seen this movie, once in theatres and once when my cousin rented the DVD, I fell fast asleep watching it, literally, no kidding! I totally appreciate what they tried to do but man it was severly boring, uninvolving, and bland. The only two good things about it were Michael Caine and the Bat-mobile, that's it! The rest is dull and soap opera-ish. I mean the scarecrow was barely in it and it takes 3 quarters of the movie to actually get to some decent, suspensful, action but I was already asleep and didn't really care what happened. This movie is definitely for the Batman fans only. A real let-down.

The best Batman to date, much darker and more enjoyable than some of the goofy earlier ones. Bale may be the best Batman yet and brings a sense of urgency and anger to the role. Much more character development in this one. Excellent.

I recommend this movie to anyone who needs to believe that the Batman movie franchise has been saved from the path of destruction that Joel Schumacher created with Batman Forever and Batman and Robin.

The first half was fantastic. Beautiful landscapes and well thought out characterizations. By the second half, when the action came around, it was boring. The dialogue became stupid and preachy, and theaction was horrible. All together a good film, mostly carried by terrific ensemble performances. I especially enjoyed Cillian Murphy's portrayal of Scarecrow.

Christian Bale has done what the previous others weren't capable of pulling off - he gave Batman his tormented soul back from a franchise which had turned The Dark Knight into a joke. Bale is not the new Batman; he's the ONLY Batman. He was shown as he should be - brooding, dark and torn between playing out his role in society as the Billionaire Playboy Bruce Wayne and the alter ego who fights injustice and corruption at every turn in his beloved Gotham. Other than Katie Holmes, the characters were perfectly cast. I have always been a Bale fan, but I have a new found respect for him. I look forward to seeing more of his work in the future.

I thought the way the plot unraveled piece by piece was spectacular, the way they almost forced you to continue watching. Also, every character plays a key role in the plot. It isn't just the usual Damsel-In-Distress, Batman Saves the Day story. The acting is alright, not the best but still very good, and all the gadgets were cool and believable. The whole story itself brought Batman into a more believeable scenario with a villain who's motives we could understand. Bravo to all those who worked on it!

I mean come on, at the IMAX! When we are used to having to choose between some 1980's ski show or Santa in 3D (which I add is the worst animation of all time, most likely animated using INFINI-D on MAC OS 8.0) so its about time there is a reasonable show to watch! Just go for the experience, I doubt many will think it's a horrible movie. Hey, it might be a lot like how people felt in the 50's going to watch a horror movie for the first time. Hey its all about perception... Its true I am a geek reaching out to fellow geeks.

Im the best batman fan ever. I loved all the movies so my opinion don't really count... anyway. Just want you to know that I missed the fantastic touch that Tim Burton put on his batman films. With the pingiuns and catwoman in batman returns, it bring us in a new kind of world. In batman begins, it's a new generation on the super hero. More sharp, more aggressive, more close to what bruce wayne/batman is really. I think its cool. Its just another good batman film!.. [...]
