If you like Gaiman and McKean's work, you'll love this. The visuals are stunning. The dialogue is pure Gaiman. The protagonist is perfectly cast and well-played. Where it falls short is the plot, all to strongly influenced by Alice in Wonderland and not very original. For another, more developed movie in this genre, try the french film La Cite des Enfants Perdus (The City of Lost Children)

This is a visually stunning fairy tale that is definitely worth seeing on the big screen. It is less complex a story than what many Neil Gaiman fans are used to, but it moves quickly with both humour and emotive drama.

Great storyline and fantastic effects. This is Neil Gaiman and Dave McKean at their best! You will be blown away!

I marked this a 'must see' because it is unlike any movie you've had the chance to see. Dave McKean is a brilliant artist and this low budgie film is his latest playground. The movie was not what I expected but unsurprisingly familiar. It's a quaint story that is told very well. A modern day fairytale for all ages.
