Definitely not what I expected to see. It was not properly advertised in my opinion. I know that there are a lot of people out there who wont really like it. It reminds me of stranger than fiction in many ways in the fact that it was not what you expected, and just a is a beautiful little film. I would highly recommend it.

I'm a huge Jack Black fan, so this movie was extremely disappointing. Everything was bad. Everything.

I wanted to like this movie much more than I did but the premise was a little too far fetched for my liking. It was an alright movie never the less with a good dose of wit and family fun.

Enjoyable, especially the fake movie bits. The story did seem to get weaker near the end and the ending may leave some unsatisfied.

I think the problem is the movie was marketed to the wrong audience. The trailer made it seem like a regular Jack Black-type comedy. It did not have many laugh out loud moments, and so I can see why people looking for that were dissapointed. But seriously people... have a heart. This movie had that and more. Pure magic.

The plot of this movie is just odd and it detracts from the some of the potentially funny moments - - although these moments are few and far between. Very disappointing!

I am a big fan of Jack Black's work. Any fan of his is bound to enjoy this movie. Quite hilarious, and a great play on movies (the ones he supposedly 'erased') The only thing that I did not enjoy about the movie that it was not long enough. I will see this movie as soon as I can. Also, the trailer kind of spoils some of it for you. Recommended for 'Kid-At-Heart' Adults, and Childern from 8 and up.

Had some really funny moments and original ideas for shooting effects but kinda felt drawn out. Did anyone else feel that every character was dimwitted?

Not Gondry's best work. Its just a neat movie to watch due to Gondry's funky ideas, eye candy. I'd say its worth a rental.

Maybe the film makers didn't have people like me in mind when they wrote this, but judging from the other critics, I guess I'm not the only one who thought this was not a good movie.
