One of my favourite movies ever. The acting is very good and I love the ending although it is sad, especially since River Phonenix passed. I LOVE THIS MOVIE!

I loved it. After I was watchig this film it just made me feel realy good. Too bad I didn't watch it with my freinds. And River Phoenix and Corey Feldmen are soo cute. And the scene in the end when River fades away it almost made me cry. That fact he's dead now made it even much more sad in the end of the movie. Eneyway it's a great movie it's directed realy well (Rob Reiner), very funny, heart felt, and ofcurse great acting.

Movies was ok. Not much action but is a kids and family type of movie. Little violence and hardly any foul language. Shows a dead kids body at the end but is not too graphic..

I know that anything I say has already been said, but I don't think there was another movie ever made better than "Stand By Me". There probably will never be one ever made that could even be closely compared to "Stand By Me". The movie hit me in the heart persay. Whenever I watch it it makes me think of what me and my friends went through as 11 or 12 year olds. I'm 15 now and I look back at my youth when I was 12 and like Corey Feldman said in the movie and I qoute "I'm in the prime of my youth and you only live once." Being 12 was just like the movie and I think being on the verge of growing up was hard and strenuous, I now I'm only 15 and I know I'm still kindof a kid, but the movie really touched. I know remember the day River Phoenix died October 31, 1993. I was 4. I look back on all the friends I had when I was 12 or 11, we had no worries we were just another group of kids from a small town exploring the whole world. I don't think I'll ever have friends like the ones I had when I was 12. Does anyone?

Excellent film, it will make you laugh and cry all at the same time. It's a great coming of age movie with brilliant young talented actors. River Phoenix - fantastic- playing the tough on the outside sweet on the inside. Its so sad thats he's passed - we will never forget him.

Great movie. One of my favourite Rob Reiner films. Something about Steven King stories seem to make great movies. The ensemble of kids put in great roles. Nothing bad to say about this film.

L loved the movie. Corey and River are both brillant in it, its so sad to hear what happened to River. The whole concept of the story, is truly amazing. I cried so hard at the end, Stephen King should be proud of this film because his book is excellent and the film is magnificent.

I have seen this movie so many times. It makes u want to have friends like that. It is by far my favorite movie. It was so sad to hear about River he was truly a great actor. His heart wasn't in it. He wanted to do something different. He could have chose a better way to deal with it. Drugs aren't the only way out. I was sad to see such a talented person go down that path in life. It just shows that bad things happen to good people.

When I first saw the movie stand by me, I thought it was a wonderful movie! It was one of the best movie's I had ever saw. River Phoenix and Wil Wheaton was so good in it and I thought they both reminded me of little Johny Depps. Only 60% better. If I had a scale to rate this movie 1-10 I would rate it a 10 for its honorship and its emotions that it gives u when u watch it takes your breath away. And also I thought River Phoenix was a BABE in this film and I loved the part with the leeches! Lol.

Wow! This film is absolutely brilliant! Its hysterical but also sensitive. Corey Feldman is the funniest in it followed by River Phoenix. River Phoenix plays the leader of the gang - chris chambers, the tough guy from a bad family. Wil Wheaton plays the quieter, sensitive gordie lachance who is best friends with chris. Corey Feldman plays the crazy teddy duchamp who's father is a bit crazy himself if you get what I mean. Jerry O'Connell plays the fat kid of the group who they all pick on a bit. They all decide to go on a hike to get a dead boys body and become heros in their town, Castle Rock. It's absolutely brilliant! 10 out of 10!

This is one of the first movies I ever remember watching, and although I've seen it probably hundreds of times, I never get sick of watching it. You get so involved in the lives of the characters and it is such an amazing movie!

I loved this movie - The story is simple and the characters well-drawn and superbly acted. The friendship between Gordie and Chris is deep and their scenes together are some of the best in the movie. This movie has something for everyone and I would recommend it for everyone.

This was an amazing movie! My dad introduced me to it when I was about 10, about 7 years ago. Ever since then I have watched it every few months. If you havent seen it you should make an effort to hire it out, it really is wonderful. The actors are very natural and the story touched my heart : ') "I never had any friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone? ".
