Amazing. No better movie then the x-files. Never a better show then the x-files there will probably never be.

[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.] A fantastic movie that continued in the conspiracy entertainment just as good as the TV series. The settings in Antartica looked amazing and there wasn't a slow or dull moment in this movie. The only reasons I can't give it full marks is because too much of the aliens where seen as well as a very detailed spaceship (which resembled the destroyers from Independance Day, although I thought the part near the beginning where Mulder is peeing against a wall that has the ID4 poster stuck to it was very funny!) and also because they nearly make the two main characters kiss! Overall though a hugely entertaining movie with some jumpy parts added in.

I love this movie. Why not? These are two well crafted characters who create sparks on screen... that is hard to find and good writing that keeps you wanting to see what happens in the end.

Best movie in the world! I cant beleive the x files ever stopped getting made... David Duchovny... what were you thinking!?!?! The only thing of any meaning youve accomplished since then is house of d... and I repeat... what were you thinking. Didnt quite live up to the series.

The whole idea of the X-files was way past its prime by the time they made this, so it's not surprising that this movie had nothing interesting or original to say on the subject. Time would be much better spent watching a couple of the old tv episodes.

First of all, I need to say that I like extratorestrial type of movies. The X Files was one of them. The movie making was great. It had given the details of whatever they wanted us to know about aliens. Evrry single topic they mentioned was clear and understandable.

I have fun, but the movie is not so great. If you are a fan you will enjoy this. The story has holes, yes! (Read Autumn Tysko reviews) The X-files is one of the shows with lots of story holes, but is THE X- FILES. I like the show.

I was disappointed in this movie, it was insulting to true fans of the show... Oooo, what's this black slime... Oooo, bees, what do they have to do with anything? Give me a break. Boring, but ok.

If you like the side of the show about all the conspiracies you will love this. I don't personally. If you ask me they should have extended one of the shows about all the weird and bizare events and called that a movie.

If you are a fan of the X-files you may ... and i repeat, you MAY enjoy the movie. Personally, i find the original TV show to be more edge-of-seat excitement than the film. For me, this was not a total flop. The film is interesting up until the three quarter mark ... after which it goes down hill pretty fast.

I'm a totally objective person who isn't against X-FILES or LOVES X-files. Then again, if you LOVE X-files just like those people who LOVE SAILORMOON, well, it doens't matter how crappy the movie is, you won't listen to reason. So I'm giving you an HONEST opinion by weighing all the facts when it comes down to a GOOD MOVIE. FINDINGS: Total WASTE OF MONEY! It is a glorified TV episode. This movie could have been another two hour special or double episode for a cliff hanger at the end of a season and a premier at the beginning of the next season. NOTHING was properly explained or solved. It was so obvious that the x-files would be re-opened, afterall, we all know that they are going to be filming another season. The special effects were good though but so many HOLES in their story! So many illogical explanations or findings. WAIT FOR THE VIDEO TAPE! Nothing is worth the big screen for this movie.

Once and awhile there are movies worth paying 8 somewhat bucks to watch them in a theater. The X-Files is definately one of them! All through the movie, I was at the edge of my seat! Even though not all viewers are devoted X-Philes fans, it was easy for a newcomer to understand. Yet there were so many little details for the veteran viewer. From the beginning, the story was action-packed, intelligent, well-balanced and sometimes humourous. Everything was in a grander scale than the TV show, you'd have to see it to understand what I'm saying. I was afraid that all the hype and rumours about the movie would just fizz out, but I'm glad I was wrong. The soundtrack was wonderful and the effects were impressive. The only thing that needed an extra punch was the ending. The X-Files Movie was a good ending for The X-Files' fifth television season, and an even better beginning for things to come. - ShaggyGrrrl

Many will say this film is bad just because it is THE X-Files ... well, I don't agree ... If you're an X-Files fan, you're gonna get about 120 minutes of your favorite show, with great special effects and an intriguing scenario (although completely paranoid) ... And if you're not, well, you'll have a good action movie ... I am not a fan of the X-Files, but I really enjoyed the movie ... so my advice is : go see it ... you'll decide for yourself ... but don't expect any great revelations or oh god ! so that's what happened there and then ! ... From what I've seen from the X-Files, the whole serie is based on not revealing too much ... they're not gonna bust their success-trick ! Good movie though :)
