Reminds me of the good old days of baseball in montreal and growing up with the Expos.

I have said it before, and I am saying it again, Quebec cinema produces some of the best movies. And this little gem is yet another example of that. Travel back to the summer of 1969, to the arrival of the Montreal Expos as seen through the eyes of an eager young boy. Based on a book (which I have not read), this movie masterfully recreates the historic summer of 1969. And this movie uses every means to take us back there: cars, clothing, television, music, even interior decoration!!! The actors are great. Kudos to the star Pier Luc Funk with his big dreamy eyes and his innocent looks. Kudos to all the child actors who bring us unique characters! Kudos to the great Roy Dupuis for another memorable role! And kudos also to Patrice Robitaille as the father figure. I also want to give mucho kudos to Carl Bastien who wrote the score and successfully recreated the sounds of 1969, organ tempo and all. This movie was as much as delight to watch than to listen. And once again, Quebec cinema takes us on an unforgettable journey back to the innocence of childhood at a time of change. An excellent movie, a must see, for both young and old (read young at heart!)

Good slow change up pitch: a strike! You will see it coming, it won't strike you out, but you will be thinking about it for a while, wondering how to face the next one...

A movie for 67 lovers dealing with baseball, a changing society and a teenage who wants to make the best out of this. Very refreshing.
