This is the best movie I have ever seen that was in both french and english. Actually, it was the only movie I've ever seen in the two languages, but the character of Jeff was pretty cute :)

It was a good movie considering the fact that it was made in Quebec. There are some parts in the movie that could have been omitted, but overall it was an okay movie. I liked the ending.

Un des meilleurs films québécois que j'ai vu. Le jeu entre Huard et l'Ontarien est excellent. À voir absolument! This movie is one of the best Canadian movies I had ever seen, good story, excellent performance by everyone, I just rent it and regret not haven't seen it at the theater. The combination of the 2 languages is probably the most "catchy" part, hard to see a movie that actually reflects real life, a world with different languages and people that doesn't understand each other. I really recommend this movie to anyone but specially to those who have had the opportunity to experience both cultures... When you see a movie like this, aren't you proud to be a Canadian? 'Cause I am sure I felt very proud at the end. Quebec J'taime, Ontario you are the best! What a great country! Hopefully business people in the movie industry will see the potential that we have for great movies like this and invest more on the canadian movie industry!!! If you haven't seen it, get ready for tons of laugh, action and a story well told that is no less to any American movie.

A very funny film, with a great story, really like the way they pulled of the engilsh/french dialogue through out the whole film, great chemistry b/w the 2 main characters.

Wow, I really didn't understand why this movie got such rave reviews here. Ok it's funny at times but definitely not a masterpiece as a 8.8 would merit. Regardless a good little movie that has action in it and maybe the little blend of quebec culture adds a little bit of originality to the mix but that's as far as originality goes. All together decent but not wonderfull.

This movie was very funny at times, but sometimes missed the point of funny, and made scenes over dramatic and kinda corny. Also, the language is very bad with the f word said thousands of times. The conversation is sometimes way to fast to understand, even if you read the subtitles. But if you ignore the fast speaking, language and over-dramatic scenes, then it is a decent movie.

[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.] I have to agree with hgaudet@ I saw the trailer of this and it looked like a good movie but only rental material. I think I lasted 30 min. Into this movie and got bored... the directors commentary before the movie? Also boring... I fast forwarded it. Lost me when the cops were beaten up in a bar... doesn't a badge mean anything these days?

It's a wonderful movie if you are truly bilingual... if you are not... you can use subtitles... It's the BEST movie I've seen this year (2006) Enjoy... if you don't get it all the first time... please enjoy a second... I've watched it at least 7 times now... it's hilarious... you don't really get the 'pas en toute' reference the first look... LOL!

Let's see... swearing is good, violence is better, sex is even better. This sounds like a Hollywood recipe that many who rate this film a 10 routinely criticize if the film originates from the US. But if it made in Quebec... then it's a masterpiece? Pulleese! This film does not even have the production values that bad US movies have. When you consider that Bad Cop, Bon Cop beat out Porky's as Canada's most popular film at the box office you have to wonder... I'll rewatch Maurice Richard to get this bad taste out of my mouth...

Hilarious at times, brutally violent at others. At times the characters are a bit "over the top", but doesn't detract from the overall enjoyment. A tad cliche and predictable at times, yet still worth your time and money.

Bon Cop, Bad Cop says all the thing that Ontario and Quebec wish they could say about eachother. We laughed our butts off at all the jokes about the two provinces. And even with the subtitles you do not miss a thing. And having Canada's greatest sport pose as the outline for the movie made it even more interesting and worth going to see!!

Do people even read what these ratings are supposed to mean? A 10/10 means a masterpiece. I hope people just aren't paying attention to the numbered definitions because Bon Cop, Bad Cop is not a masterpiece. Do you know why? Anything that reeks this badly of the tried and true Hollywood formula of two cops from different worlds partenered together does not reek of brilliance. We've already seen this in the Lethal Weapons (America it's a black cop and a white cop, Canada it's anglophone and francophone; and I'm guessing this premise has already gotten all of you 10/10ers teary-eyed with laughter, so I won't linger on it), so do we really need to see this as the breakthrough Canadian movie? I mean we've already suffered through other Canadian... hits? Like Men With Brooms; and, though this is much better, do we want to be recognized as what the Americans likely view us as, USA's little brother. A reflection. With that said, I must ask a second question - Am I the only one who felt he was chuckling out of responsibility of being Canadian rather than to the actual comedic content? I'm not saying that this isn't funny, far from it, but the comedy is practically all pre-chewed by Hollywood (that is, aside from the bilingualism, which is the ONLY reason I say it is worth seeing) But what makes this even worse is that the creators of the film are seemingly quite aware of it, as instead of things familiar to Americans, they have replaced them with all things Canadiana (serial killer is obsessed with Hockey, etc... ) And not to mention the redundant anglo/franco stereotypes - at least Lethal Weapon used character models that weren't based upon geographic localities or varying cultures and heritages. Anyway... Incredibly unoriginal. See Hamster Cage for quality Canadian cinema.
