Film très intéressant, The machinist est un trailer psychologique merveilleusement bien monté. L'histoire étant montrée du point de vu du personnage principal, le spectateur est entrainé à la limite du réel et doit chercher pour dicerner ce qui est vrai de ce qui ne l'est pas. Ce qui nous est montré se produit-il dans l'esprit de Trevor? Puis, grace à une fin assez surprenante, on comprend pourquoi chaque élément avait sa raison d'être. Un 10 bien mérité, à voir absolument, comme d'habitude Christian Bale est excellent.

Une seule question : pourquoi Christian Bale n'a pas été nominé aux Oscars pour cette performance. Bon sang, quel acteur! Il est de la trempe de De Niro. Voyez "Batman Begins" juste après "The machinist" et dites-vous qu'il n'y a que 6 mois entre les deux... en 6 mois, Bale est passé d'un décharné squelettique à un athlète, Fallait le faire!

Mon genre. D'abord l'histoire est fascinante : Christian Bale incarne un machiniste, assez seul, qui souffre d'insomnie et qui perd du poids de façon alarmante (Bale a perdu 60 livres pour le tournage!) Il occupe ses nuits comme il le peut, histoire de passer le temps. Un jour, il commence à vivre des choses bizzares, troublantes, et tout porte à croire qu'on veut s'en prendre à lui, par contre, impossible de le prouver, hallucinations, complot, folie? L'atmosphère du film est lugubre, c'est assez weird, et tordu. Je qualifirais Le Machiniste de film d'horreur alternatif psychologique, un peu comme l'excellent film L'Échelle de Jacob. Parfois, on est un peu perdu, on se demande si tout cela à bien du sens, et où cela va aboutir... On sait que tout va se jouer dans la finale... Et quelle finale!! Très réussie, le punch est savoureux, et l'ambiance atteint un climat vraiment particulier! L'évolution psychologique du personnage est bien démontré tout au Long du film jusqu'à un aboutissement exquis, la performance de Bale aidant beaucoup. Bref, une belle surprise, un film que je n'ai pas réussit à me sortir de la tête pendant toute la fin de semaine, il m'a envouté!

J'ai adoré ce film. L'ambiance est extrêmement bien réussie et je lève mon chapeau au réalisateur. J'ai vu le film plus d'une fois et je vous conseille de le faire aussi car cela nous permet de remarquer des détails qui nous permettent de mieux comprendre le film. Christian Bale est fabuleux (comme d'habitude) je conseille ce film à tout le monde, vous allez adorer!

Dans les petits pot les meilleurs remède! Ce film est pour moi un chef-d'oeuvre cinématographique! Christian Bale est un très bon acteur d'après moi et joue à merveille son rôle! Et que dire de sa perte de poids... une torture qu'a du subir M. Bale pour atteindre la perfection visuelle de ce film. L'histoire même est en grande partie le succes de ce film. Thriller Psychologiquement troublant! Film que je conseille à tous!

Excellent film. Histoire très bien menée et que dire de Christian Bale qui s'est investi à 110%. Regarder la musculature qu'il affichait dans American Psycho quelques années avant! On a peine à croire qu'il s'agit du même acteur. Une performance qui mérite à elle seule le visionnement.

J'avais entendu que de bonnes choses au sujet de ce film et j'étais impatient de le visionner. Le suspense tout au Long du film est excellent, les acteurs sont vraiment dans leur personnage, mais la traduction... on aurait dit des voix de films pornos! Comment ne pas rire en écoutant ça? C'est un film originalement sérieux mais les voix rend tout le contenu comique... Le seul conseil que je peux donner si vous avez l'intention de voir ce film, c'est de le regarder en anglais! Il y a de fortes chances pour que vous bousilliez l'image de ce film en le regardant en français!

Un des meilleurs films des 5 dernières années! Christian Bale s'est vraiment investi dans ce rôle jusqu'à ne plus avoir que la peau sur les os. Le rythme est bon et surtout, ce film n'est pas prévisible sans grosses ficelles. Un film d'auteur intelligent qu'on peut facilement revoir pour le plaisir de voir les indices que le réalisateur nous a habilement laissés. À voir absolument!

Dualis Corpus. Ces deux mots qui ne sont la que pour leur sonorite marquent la douleur incessante, omnipresente, intemporelle. Elle l'embrasse dans une êtreinte vicieuse. Spirale aspirant jusqu'à son ame. Lui, ouvre les yeux sur un alter-ego qu'aucune gymnastique mentale ne pourra jamais effacer. J'ai lu dans un journal de Montreal que Christian Bale avait perdu 30 kilos pour interpreter ce role de forcat. S'il se confond a la perfection avec ses instruments mecaniques, il ne fait que faire un pas de plus sur les traces de l'American Psycho qu'il est reelement?

Vraiment débile comme film, j'avais adoré Amrican Psycho avec le même acteur Christian Bale, je dirais pas que ce film-là est aussi bon que american psycho, mais c'est dans le même genre. C'est un excellent suspense, je suis resté accroché jusqu'à la fin pour découvrir l'intrigue. J'adore les suspenses, et c'est pas le genre de film cliché américan, c'est vraiment filmé sombre et dans un atmosphere psychopathe. Et j'espère que Christian Bale vas gagner un oscar pour ce film-là, sa performance est débile, et il as aussi du passer de 190 livres à 127 livres pour le rôle. Pas facile pour un gars de 6'2'', lol! À voir absolument pour les fans de Bale.

Comme il a déjà été écrit, ambiance réussie, dans la lignée du film précédent du réalisateur, Session 9 (j'avais ADORÉ la dernière phrase de ce film-là), il réussit bien à installer un sentiment d'ÉTRANGETÉ, mais la fin ne m'a pas complètement satisfaite. Ça explique trop selon moi, ce qui est bien car je voulais comprendre ce qui se passait, mais ça ne laisse aucun mystère, personnellement je trouve ça décevant. Mais c'est fascinant de voir le corps de Christian Bale, il est vraiment excellent. De façon générale, j'apprécie beaucoup ce film car c'est différent, ça ose prendre des risques. Edgar Allan Poe serait fier!

Christian Bale est remarquable dans le rôle d'un ouvrier qui sombre dans une folie paranoïaque! Magnifiques images et musique envoutante rappelant les films noirs des années 50. Scénario bien ficelé qui nous change des insipides 'remake' hollywoodiens.
