Lucy had to be the most pathetic vampire ever. The leaping from present to past was hard to grasp at first and made the film seem disjointed. The only impressive thing about the movie was the massive amounts of fake blood.

Definitely a B-movie at best that you would watch on a boring night when everything has left the rental shelf. The Vampire like creatures were useless and way too easy to kill... which lead me to believe that they were not Vampires at all but more like some blood sucking cult of some kind that I couldn't even be bothered to try and figure out. It was too confusing and silly to waste anymore of my time.

Saw this at a previewing a few weeks ago. It's not a bad movie in itself, Lucy Liu does a good job with the role. This movie is a very interesting take on the vampire myth, but sadly it's riddle with way too many plot holes. It's wroth seeing as a cheap rental, but I;d recommend saving your movie going money for something a bit better.

A truly crappy movie predictable storyline Lame. The ONLY redeemable feature is Lucy Liu's butt, offset somewhat by the fact that she play's a walking cadaver.

[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.] Crap... And disappointment... Lucy lui plays a just "turned" vampire, does she have super human strength, agility, faster than light reflexes? No... She cries alot fumbles about and say's "I can't do this" alot... Lame, much like myself after watching this crap.

Look, nobody expects this one to be good in the first place considering the terrible trailer. But it's not a complete waist of time. Not good but not a waist of money. Lucy Liu's great legs is definitely a high point tough.

I give it the most unexplained movie of the year award! This movie leaves out WAY too much information. It's like a bad TV movie.

Best way to put it bad acting , bad story line , just all around bad. I am a fan of vampire movies but this one just didn't do it the revenge plot was just too easy to see coming. Predictable story line.

Crappy plot, not even worth a rental unless you're a huge Lucy Liu fan.

Worth checking out, if only for Lucy Liu's ultra cool performance and the ever commanding presence of Carla Gugino. The story isn't much, but it's directed with a ton of style and nice 1940's gangster movie feel.

Down-to-earth take on the vampire myth. Lucy Liu makes a great hero. Carla Gugino is sadly not in the movie much, but smolders whenever she's on. A strange mix of old fashioned film noir and modern MTV style cutting. Sexy.

I'm giving this an 8 for what it apparently WAS, before the studio destroyed it. According to the actors and the director, they signed on to do and filmed a dark film noir with vampires. The studio hacked it up in an effort to be "commercial". RISE is a casualty, but an interesting one. Good actors, great camerawork, nice sensual mood.

This movie is mildly entertaining, but it lacks depth and story. The movie does serve up a lot of gore and blood if that is your pleasure.
