Very Tim Burtonish version but a great movie, don't take younger children, it is a bit scary for them.

The animation was incredible--WOW. It was unbelievably realistic. Unfortunately it was very frightening with way too much time devoted to graves, death and gore!!! Disney would of been better off celebrating the lighter side of the story (Scrooge and the joy of Christmas)

Kids loved it and so did I. I hope everyone gets to experience it in the 3D version.

Great movie, But I've already seen Christmas carol about 30 times (the old version), and it was quite scary for kids I'm 11 years old, and I was even frightened.

A very good adaptation of the original story. The scenes are a bit odd at times, as are the characters. Jim Carey makes an excellent Scrooge, producing an overall good move experience. Fun for all ages.

Although I tend to be really critical of animation movies I really enjoyed this original twist to Dickens tale. I'm not sure Dickens himself would have liked this version. Not unless he'd have taken some LSD before watching it. Although Zemeckis directed this movie, I could have sworn that the spirit of Tim Burton inhabited it the whole time. Every character is amazing and the 3D animations are breathtaking at times. There is never a dull moment. This movie is definitely not for young children. You have been warned.

Wonderful movie, the 3D is amazing, and Jim Carrey can Cary this character so well. I enjoyed every minute of the movie.

If you can appreciate the 1951 classic version with Alastair Sim, you will love the Digital 3-D take on this one, and it does stay pretty true to the original storyline. I loved this. A few "scary" bit scenes for some kids, but an overall good experience with a great message and amazing attention to detail! I can see why this movie is challenging to this day of age so I wouldn't recommend it for the faint of mind.

I saw this movie thinking it would be great because I liked this story and the other versions. I was pretty disappointed, there were many parts were I was scared and jumped. I would never recommend someone bringing their young children to it.

I really enjoyed this movie, but I found the animation a little creepy. I think it would have been better if it was just live action. However, the 3D was great and I saw it in the IMAX so it was pretty amazing to watch. And I love the classic story, it definitely got me in a Christmassy mood!

A very enjoyable take on a classic story. The 3D aspect brings to light a whole new view of cinema. I believe we are seeing the future of film in this movie. Very entertaining, and very enjoyable. I highly recommend taking this movie in at the theaters, don't wait until it is out on video, it won't be the same!

I loved this version of A Christmas Carol. I think it's the best one since the black and white version with Alastair Sim. And it being 3D was a huge bonus. A must-see for anyone who loves Dickens' classic story.

For me it was the worst movie ever. You couldn't even enjoy the movie because like every five minutes there was something new that was scary. It was ok but it could've been much better if it wasn't so scary.

Me and my friends loved the movie, very original remix of the classic Charles Dickens story with great acting by Jim Carey. The story line is pure Charles Dickens from start to end, including old English, don't expect a new plot. The movie is NOT scary at all for adults, but too scary for young or sensitive children. The movie won't appeal to certain people - those who don't read or spend most of their free time watching TV, this is an old English classic remake after all. Special effects in 3D are fantastic.

The graphics were excellent, best animated motion picture I have ever seen regards to graphics and style of picture! Along with the storyline keeping to the book as close as possible, and the best looking scrooge I have ever seen.

An exciting 3-D twist on a Christmas classic. Definitely not a movie for the under-8 crowd, as some of the scenes are very intense and somewhat creepy/scary. Very moving/emotional on the Tiny Tim story.

This movie should have come out at Christmas time & not late october or early novemeber. What was the point of it being animated? I was expecting it to be more action & fantasy-filled & maybe more magical. I already knew this story & this film didn't bring it to a new level. Nothing special about this "new" version- just alot of hype. I almost walked out of the theatre.

Okay, First this is supposed to be a kids movie. I saw it with my 20 year-old friend and we were both scared. The begining and the end is great, it shows Scroges' character. But the middle of the movie (mostly all of it) is scary because of the spirits. I WOULD NOT recomend it for yoounger children even though it is supposed to be for that age. I woul rent it then see it in theatres. They could have done a better job!

Best part of the movie was flying over the town, the 3D was well done. Other than that... very dark, boring movie.

Yes, I would call it a masterpiece, only because I felt it that way when I was watching it. I did read the book when I was a kid and I loved it. I haven't seen any other screen versions, but I am very happy that I saw this one. It was amazing! It's like a new generation of filming. :) And the story... well, it's the classics, what can I add?

Really is a wonderful movie. The 3D is well worth the extra money and even though I've read and watched this story several times I felt it was a new spin on a classic. It was true to the original novel and the art direction was excellent. Flying through ye olde London town was amazing and the best part of the whole movie (in my humble opinion!) is Ghost of Christmas future. Lovely stuff.

Didn't have anything more than any other remake of this film. 3-D worked well, but story a little shallow in content. Much preferred the Muppet Christmas Carol. Went on "cheap night". Glad I didn't pay full price.

Amazing graphics. If you guys/gals don't want to see the movie because of the story line and you're a big fan of intense graphics, this movies is for you. Of course, combining your like for the story and graphics would give you an intense experience.

I went to see this movie with my kids, and we all loved it. Great Christmas and Christian story with excellent moral lessons, AMAZING 3D and special effects. The best movie I've seen this year. I will be waiting in line for the DVD. Too bad we can't go higher than 10/10.

This movie was quite good but I do think it could be better. It takes a plotline that we are all familiar with and makes it into a movie. It was quite good, but it had a very familiar plotline.

I was very disappointed with the story... Having seen other versions of this in the past, I was expecting from Disney to see a story unfold and be delightly entertained at the same time. Visualy the 3D effects were awesome!! But I did feel that the story was only second to the visual. It was very hard to understand the dialoge over the music and it skipped over so much story from the orignial. Sometimes a peice of story would come on and i'd think ok... but than they would quickly go on to something else. Therefore losing the effect I expected. [...]

Even if just for the nostalgia this was a movie worth seeing. I suggest you see if 3D. The beginning is a little slow but if your hoping to get in the Christmas spirit this movie is a great starting point.

One of the only movies that in my opinion, Jim Carrey excelled in. The animation in 3-D was absolutely amazing. It was so scary, I just loved it. There was so much action. However the story was very confusing. If I didn't know what the movie was about, I wouldn't have been able to follow.

An excellent remake of the classic story! The 3D was great! For those who complain that it was too scary and your kids were too scared, it is no secret that A Christmas Carol is about ghosts!! The story is extremely old! The original movie is quite scary too! Well Done! I would see it again!
