A nice little thriller that was under-rated by many. Good acting and script.

Predictable, unlikely and cliché. Good acting by Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Wait for the video.

Frank Scott did a wonderful job this first time around for directing! This movie is fantastic. Anyone who claims otherwise is only interested in flashy effects and not in a great story. This movie isn't filled with explosions, or gruesome murder, but with a rock solid story. It was shot on a bit of a low budget but this worked well. In a world of "blow up movies" this one carries itself without all the extreme effects. The characters are well founded with bases in reality rather than fantasy. - I got to be around in part of the making of the film, and I must say they filled my expectations which were already high! The movie hasn't done so well in theatres but this is only because the world is not at a place to "see" the strength of masterpieces such as this. Perhaps when things settle down the movie will be looked back upon for what it truly is - the wonderful first steps of a new director, who has already made a name through his other talents!

Quite an enjoyable film even though it did feel a little slow moving at times. Good storyline and characters as well.

This movie wasn't worth watching it, the title of the movie is tricky, makes you think it's an awesome movie you know, LOOKOUT... Ya right.

Much better than I expected. Great plot, greater characters. I love a quirky, dark film.

Gordon-Levitt, Goode, Daniels. The characters they play could be my neighbours. Excellent performances. There is a similarity to a previous movie that took my mind off of this film briefly and that was too bad. Otherwise I was with it all the way.

This is a very well done movie. It gives the viewer a whole new outlet on being mentally impaired. The acting was excellent.

[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.]
A well directed, acted and shot character study that uses the plot conventions of a heist movie primarily to move the story and main character arc along. Joseph Gordon-Levitt continues to impress with a solid central performance as Chris Pratt, a broken young man trying to put his life back together after a horrible mistake in judgement results in him suffering from short term memory-loss and long term guilt. Jeff Daniels is very good as his blind room-mate, adding a touch of comedy to an otherwise noirish tale. Mathew Goode is effective as the requisite bad guy who attempts to lure Chris Pratt out of his frustrating daily grind as a small town bank janitor and into a chance at a easy money through involvement in a heist. The movie benefits from spending the first two of its three acts developing the backdrop for the inevitable heist leaving the viewer with more concern for the final outcome than would otherwise be the case in a conventional film. The cinematography and lurid low-key lighting add a nice atmospheric touch to this neo-noir flick. If you enjoy Josesph Gordon-Levitt in this one, check out earlier films such as "Brick"," Mysterious Skin" and "Manic". He is certainly a pleasant surprise to watch as he continually develops from his somewhat humble acting beginnings as a child star in TV's "3rd Rock From The Sun" to a series of increasingly challenging roles in independent and now mainstream film.

I loved this movie. Finally a suspense thriller with characters you care about. Definitely not for people who loved Shooter. Joseph Gordon-Levitt may be the next Johnny Depp. Jeff Daniels is also excellent.

Slow paste, more a building up story but great character development, if you liked Fargo and Momento, this movie is a great mix of both in is own way.

Totally loved it. I enjoyed the entire movie right from the deliberate and measured beginning. Also great fun to play "Spot the Winnipeg landmark" as it was filmed here last year. Great performances all around.

I actually enjoyed this movie. I wasn't expecting much... And was quite surprised. It was interesting, I would have liked to have more insight into what made him change so much... What part of his brain had been touched etc... But hey! Nothing's perfect... Good movie overall.

It is a nice movie to watch! However, actions are predictable. But I enjoyed it anyways! Good performance by Levitt, Daniels and Goode.

Great movie, like those kind of movie. I never taught that (Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Jeff Daniels) could do those type of movie because they all play in comedy role... Good job guys.
