I love fame cause I love to dance.

Rent the original Fame movie, this remake was a total let down. Not enough dancing and the dancing it did have looked like a commercial for So You Think You Can Dance. Not enough character development and pointless to spend the budget on Kelsey Grammer and Bebe Neuwirth who added nothing. Was a good showcase for the singer Naturi Naughton who has powerhouse vocals but not a reason to see the movie.

SOO GOOD!! Really it's amazing. Love the dances scene, they're just great and super fun to watch. I'm really sad that the ratings aren't good because this movie was really entertaining. Also, I dance so I think I appreciated more the art of this film than other people.

I guess this movie was just okayyy. Nothing special. If you ever want to see this movie, watch it on tv. The acting wasn't good enough, neither was the script and the story really didn't go anywere. Could have been much better.

It was phenomenal! I recommend it to absolutely everyone. When I read about it I expected it to be pure cheese but in reality it was the Picasso of musicals!

If you've seen the original, then this one definitely doesn't live up to it! Not a bad movie, but they could done a lot more with the story!

I didn't pay much attention to the movie it was kind of boring. The end was more entertaining. Good movie to see if you don't want to pay attention till the end!

Enjoyable. I watched the original Fame movie in 'preparation' for the new one, and I have to say, I liked the new one much better (hundreds of people are groaning at me now ;D ) The main reason I prefer the new one is because there is more plot, more storyline. The original is pretty much a documentary of a few kids who you just don't get attached to at PA, while the new one is a movie about a few PA kids with personality. The talent in this film was okay. Kherington Payne was great. The girl who played Denise was a terrific singer. Not sure who made Kay Panabaker the leading lady, but whatever. She was okay. I really suggest going to see Fame. If you are still skeptical, it's definitely worth watching on DVD. :)

Not enough talent in the movie. There's more talent in an episode of Hannah Montana. I was disappointed. It's not the worst movie but... (sigh)

I think that the problem wasn't the acting/singing/dancing. All of them had talent no doubt, but the story was just hm... bad. But worth seeing for the music though.

Not even worth a rental. The storyline goes absolutley nowhere. You never really get to know any of the characters and don't even remember any of their names by the end of the movie. The only reason this movie even got a 1 was because there was 1 good singing performance. If anyone actually gave this movie anything above a 4 I would seriously avoid any reviews they have to offer in the future. Sorry to be so harsh but, I wasted good money on this movie and just don't want anyone else to fall into this trap.

I was expecting so much more - the acting is bad and there is no real storyline. You do not get attached to any of the characters.

Lots of good dancing singing entertainment in the movie. It's well co-ordinated by a good story about students working hard to make it in a high-expectation-school of performing arts. I enjoyed it very much.

No point in seeing this movie. Choppy storyline and bad dialogue. Trust me, definitely not worth your money.

Some nice songs but all of the characters are 1-dimensional. Very little story wapped around a dull uninspired action. Not even a DVD rental: wait for it on TV and even then you'll only want to see it once.

This is the ANTI -DISNEY why because it deals in reality. For some it is too cerebral as well as passionate! The sets real, people real, story real. I really enjoyed it!

I wish the movie could have been more like the ending; it was powerful and I just wanted to see more life, more drama, more love, more emotions. The tv show was so great and I have great memories. The movie was to much like the tv show and lacked in what could have been a phenomenal dance and musical movie about talent and passion. It could have been so much more!

The movie was really good. I honestely didn't want to watch it, but my friends were watching it so I thought might as well. I go to an Arts school and this gave me a very good understanding of what happens with my art career after high school.

This is a great movie and lots of people did a great job to make it. It is a great and inspiration on dancers, musicians, and people with great talents! It was probably the best movie made for talents and musicals. Thanks to the director and the producer (s) for making it!! It's a must see.

This is the first time that I've been so engrossed in a movie that I couldn't even think to critique it. Amazing movie, if you're a lover of musicals. The acting could have been better though... a lot better.

To the 17 and under set, rent the original movie. This one pales in comparison. This version has no character development. The original spawned a TV series. It was that good.

Long, drawn out, some good moments. BUt if all a movie adds up to is moments... not worth the money. Most of the characters weren't worth investing any interest in either.

Seemed really long... but wasnt. Very little plot... skipped through alot of scenes. Everything that happens in the middle is a blocked out... very little plot... acting wasnt bad... but very boring.

swift_alba_fox@ - age: 18-25
Seriously just wait for the DVD. And even then, watch it when you really have nothing else better to do! The movie was just bad, plain and simple. No substance to it, no entertainment, and very unrealistic (for example, when all the students decided to dance/play instruments and sing in the caf in the middle of the day) It does teach you things about life if you didnt know them already, but a lot of the topics that are shown are way overplayed and heavily stereotyped.

True not much a story line, but it's worth to see the talent people persuring their dreams.

First of all, this was not a masterpiece. For those of you who think it was, you need to watch more good and classic movies. You are entitle to your opinions, but seriously... this movie was ok, it left me wanting more. I expected way more performances. I agree with steph2459, it did not live up to the trailers. Wait for it on DVD.

This movie could have been way better. I personally think that instead of paying the money to go see the movie go rent High School Musical and Step up. It is like a mix of those 2.

OMG what was the point of that? Seriously there was no plot, no story and nothing happened. It was the worst 2 hours watching people with no talent jumping round on stage or trying to sing ever. I would not pay money to see this again.
1/10 29.9.2009 -
hilary_hope@ - age: 18-25
If you're rating it just on talent and not on storyline, then I guess the rating could be higher. But went to see a movie, a story that would move me which this did not. It had no heart, no soul, no connection - just various acts thrown together.
6/10 29.9.2009 -
cin63bau@ - age: 36-49
It was a collection of rapidly changing vignettes. Each was approximately 15-30 seconds in length. Gave me a bit of vertigo. Did not enjoy as I hoped though the movie is filled with talented young people and some familar wonderful older actors. Was nice to see Kerrington from So You Think You Can Dance on screen. She did very well. Would have been better if it did not jump around at such a dizzying speed. No story line to speak of so don't try too hard to find one.

For a "musical" there could have been a lot more music in the movie. Very weak storyline and not very interesting. If it would have been aired on tv for 1.5 hours I would have left the room a few times. The weirdest part is that they left the theme song from the 80's original Fame to the credits, which was ridiculous. This should have been in the beginning or middle of the show! An "okay" movie.
