This movie is almost three hours in length but I can't say I felt it dragging in. A greatly entertaining show with a classical, simple story line that sees the Narnian creatures fight against their human oppressers to put a just and noble prince on the human throne. The effects and costume designers of this movie should be applauded. I haven't read the book and so I can't say if the movie resembles it; in saying that there is a certain part that is very similar to Lord of the Rings, unsurprising really since both novelists were best friends at the time when they wrote Chronicles and Rings respectively. I would say that the first Chronicles movie is better but Caspian is a great sequel and should be seen on the big screen.
