User's review

I thought that despite the huge sums of money they obviously spent on the production it failed badly by being overly complicated and being too gross or intense for a younger audience which is usually the target audience for films like this. Heath Ledger is sadly no longer with us and to me it is even sadder that his last role was in this film as The Joker. The character of The Joker is generally not supposed to be an easy one to watch but I kept hoping Batman would do something grotesque to The Jokers face, watching The Joker in this film was that annoying. Good acting or bad directing? Take your pick. It would have been better I think Heaths last film should have been a better one to remember him by, Anyway that isnt really here nor there. Overall a yet another example of overblown directing where the story gets mired in a sea of talking heads and disconnected action sequences. I think there is only so many times Batman can be reworked and this is one to many versions of it, after all, it is just a comic book story, not the story of World War 2.
