Valkyrie [2008] Movie Reviews on CinemaClock

I would rate this 6 1/2 out of 10. I had to go with 6 or 7 and picked 7 because it is wonderful for audiences to see important historical films based on fact. The criticisms I have read about Tom Cruise are unwarrented. He is a fine actor and plays his role well. I went this evening, to the opening, and was glad to see a full house. I looked at the audience and found them to be a very young crowd. They did not come because of the story/content. They came to see Tom Cruise. Bravo Tom! It is not important why they came but that they came. I base my views on recent films that should have been packed but weren't. Those films include Religulous, W and Frost/Nixon. The common thread is thay did not star Tom Cruise. As for Valkyrie, it has a good flow and sticks to the topic - the plot to assassinate Hitler.
