"There are heroes, there are superheroes and then theirs... Hancock. Man this action packed comedy/drama movie is a great edition to the superhero genre Will Smith gives another rock solid performance it doesn't quite measure up to some of his other films like Bad Boys, Independence Day, and Men in Black but all the same it is an excellent thrill ride with enough action to satisfy most people a little strange that the movie's genre seemed to shift from Comedy to Drama near the end but whatever all in all great movie.

You can never go wrong with Will Smith. The movie takes a look at a different kind of hero who doesn't care all the collateral damage he leaves behind, unlike his counterparts like superman or spiderman, who supposedly leave none. Will Smith is funny in the movie. The movie has a great storyline and is definitely something that you can't miss.

What a waste of our time to even pay rental fee from Video store. Poor taste and I can't believe that Will and Charlize would waste their time for this movie. My husband and I are in our mid-50's and not prudes, but this was really bad and the part where he supposibly inserts another man Head in another's rectum whatever not close to funny. I guess if we were in late teens or early twenties and drunk or smoking something!!! Might see the humour. Otherwise miss it not worth it. Will can do so much better and Charlize sad very sad display of both their immense talent. I know there are many varibles you must take in to suit all tastes but this movies just tastes dumb!!!

Clever twist of the super-hero genre. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that some super-heros are not perfect and do not live a mansion with a batcave. Entertaining and funny. Will Smith really brings back the fun in super-hero films! Big Willy Style! :P

Yawn. Not very funny, not very original. I laughed a couple times at the beginning. But then I thought that I could swear at Will Smith and laugh on my own - didn't need to pay to go to a movie to do it. So you got an alcoholic super hero - one with human personality and flaws. This movie steals all the charm and concepts from My Super X Girlfriend, and is slightly less funny. It's 90 minutes and felt like 150. Charlize! Shame on you! I expected more from you.

I like all Will Smith movies, but I really liked this movie, as it shows a "SUPER HERO" in a different light. Other super heros are well dressed, clean cut, and perfect in their actions, where this charactor was a "street person". He (Will Smith) does a great job as a street person, then cleaning up his act. Great acting all around, and excellent special effects!

After reading the reviews, I have decided that this is a good movie for people who like action, drama and romance. If you are a person who likes comedy... this isn't your kind of movie. I have decided to give it a 8 because it's not bad, but on the other hand, it could be better. So do what you think. And if you do decide to watch it then good for you. And if you don't thats ok too. See ya.

Story falls apart thirty minutes into the movie. If you want to check you brains completely then go for it. ANY fool could have written this film after the thirty minutes. SO BAD! I just find it insulting how poorly written this film was. Will Smith fans ran to this one but this film really will make you think twice next time.

I am surprised at the reviews I have read for this film. It was thoroughly enjoyable. It actually had a story, and a good one, at that. The story was mythical and timeless and endearing. There was no shortage of action or awe-inspiring special effects either. Check it out at the theatre or on video!

Good movie, worth the 5.00 entry... but not regular price. Many better movies this summer (Dark Night for instance) Will Smith is good but Charlize Theron steals the show. Premise is interesting but movie way too short.

Like Hellboy, Hancock takes a bit of a tongue in cheek approach the super hero genre. Will Smith is fantastic as Hancock and Jason Batman is strong in his supporting role as the PR guy with a heart.

Much like I Am Legend, it starts off really well but then has a really bad turn in the middle of the movie that just kills the overall execution and pace of the film. The ridiculous plot twist was more funny than shocking. The ending is just SO BAD, I couldn't believe it.

The execution was okay. But the build-up, the acting, the directing, the special effects, the sounds, the story, the humor, and the wits were just summer awesome. They didn't go too far with cheese, but nothing could be better than seeing a celebrity being shined on by the hottest beams. (Will Smith)

This movie was superb a little immature at times. But still most people would enjoy it the movie gets more serious near the end. Throughout the movie he threatens to shove peoples heads of other peoples asses and at one point he actually does! This movie was great go see it now.

It is a pretty typical superhero movie, but filmed in a very creative way. Some reviews are biased and misleading, which made me hesitated watching this movie. Today I went to have a look, it was pretty good. The Twist ( as in every super hero movie) is pretty good. The ending is inspiring, because it is not a "happily ever after" ending.
