It is beautiful movie for adults, I would say, more than for kids. It is inspiring life story. Two thumbs up!

The reason why the movie was so touching was because of its relationships in the story. There were several and each one was enhanced throughout the story and nothing was left behind. The colours and humour in the movie made for a perfect balance between the sad and the happy. Go see it!

I felt that the movie had content that was not appropriate for young children. It was more an adult love story with some comedy aspects. My kids saw it 2 times and was not pleased with me when they had to see it the 2nd time. As a matter of fact one of my kids fell asleep, and later told me because the movie "sucked!" So from the mouth of my young child, take it or leave it. But from the 6 of us who went to see the movie, only 1 child liked it.

A really fun movie with a great story and animation. It might even make one appreciate their relationship more. I'd watch it again.

My 5-yr-old and I were excited about this movie, but it was quite bad. Neither of us liked it. They were mean to the poor dog, there was a gun involved, and nothing really good happened. I'd say UP was a real DOWNER.

Amazing storyline with lots of visual stimulation. 3D always give me a headache but the minor irritation loses out to the sheer enjoyment this movie brought to myself/ the 10 year old I took with me (so I didn't go to a kids movie without an excuse)/ and my really hard to impress 50 something father. There was some sad parts, happy parts and plenty of hillarity to keep you entertained.

Excellent storyline, adventure and creativity come in this terrific animation worth seeing over and over. Granted, it was not as good as Wall-E or Ratatouille and the "good guy vs bad guy" thing probably scared some kids off, but in general, an excellent film and a delighting story.

Excellent, especially for older people. Could not ask for a better cartoon. Knew nothing about movie going in and that probably made the difference in enjoying it so much. Avoid trailers and just see it.

I would like to first say something to the unhappy people who decided to hate this film. Go crawl back into your corners with your favorite dark cloud hanging over head. Like really, people this was an animated film, so if you feel that certain elements were lacking in reality GET REAL IT'S A MOVIE! Now... this was great film and considering all the crap that Hollywood has shoved down our throats this year (you know those movies the people who crapped on this film actually liked)IT WAS SO refreshing to see a movie with such fun and emotion (that was those lulls Mr Negative above was talking about) and positive thinking. And it was even an escapist moment; it "dealt" with some pretty sad events. I laugh, I cried, and thus purged my emotions, try to do that James Cameron. That is the essence of art. Finally an entertaining movie that was a lesson to young and old; that hey life is an adventure and you only get one ride. So put your fangs away and shut your pie holes about all the little things that bug you. Go outside, get some sun and get out there and try to make the world a happier place.

I didn't want to see this and was convinced to go. Afterwards I was glad I did go. It had many good elements including fun and sarcastic humour, well organized character development and enjoyable characters that really grew on me. Go see it.

I loved this movie, so did the 14 year old girl, 9 year old boy, 7 year old girl and 3 year old boy that I took to see it. I cried three times, a real story about life and love for adults. And a great funny adventure movie for the kids. My three year old wouldn't keep the glasses on but he still enjoyed it!

This movie will surprise you. Off the bat - I don't think it's a kid's movie, in any case any kid under 12 years of age. It has sad and funny and realistic parts and is definitely worth seeing in 3D. Go see it now before it goes out of the cinemas.

I really enjoyed this movie and plan to own it in the future. It is a great message about life. Sometimes when we are in the midst of our journey we don't realize how wonderful it is. We are always thinking about tomorrow. As the photo album points out-she felt their life was wonderful. As we get older though and still have our health and can live more dreams, we should be open to it. What a wonderful reward it was in the end. It wasn't predictable. Loved it! Awesome story!

If you haven't already seen this, try and catch it while it's still on the big screen! The animation was among the best I've seen, with attention to texture and detail that made a wonderful difference. The acting was excellent. The story was delightful, funny, heart-warming and exciting. I loved it! It loses a rating point for two reasons. (1) I think the writers missed a real opportunity to teach kids that the loss of any life is tragic and worthy of acknowledgment, no matter who it is: friend or foe. And (2) I would have preferred a better explanation of some of the wild gadgetry, whose inventor also seemed curiously out of sync with the timeline of the story. Other than that, it was some of the best fun I've had at a film in a long time.

A wonderful movie. The 3d is not overdone, and the charcters are human and engaging. I particularily liked the developing relation between the old man and the boy. Has enough adult humour to keep you enaged, good movie for the whole family. In compariosn Coraline was technically a better movie, but a little too intense for younger kids, and Monster vs. Aliens was a little to simple to keep adults engaged. Soo far the "overall" best 3D movie this summer.

I enjoyed this movie, but don't think it was really geared towards kids, lots of scenes had alot of insinuation about death and depression... not so pretty, but the characters were easy to watch and the dogs were a riot!.. Squirrel...
