User's review

This film reminded me of why I see repertoire movies; once and a while one comes along and it is excellent!! I would gladly see a bunch of lemons if only to come upon one like this. The keystone of 'Starting Out in the Evening' is contrasts (young and old, black and white, born or unborn) and especially character development.'The lost city' (a book the gentleman wrote) could very well have been called 'The lost life'. Yes, it's about life, the alchemy of it. A must be seen by any serious movie buff.
