User's review

I loved watching this movie. I have not read the book and now want to. It took me inside the head of a young immigrant woman in an arranged marriage in London, far from her beloved childhood home and sister. I felt her disorientation and longing and understood so much more of the immigrant experience, the arranged marriage experience, set against a very interesting backdrop of a muslim neighbourhood as the world trade centre tragedy takes place.
