User's review

This movie was surprisingly good. The cast really brought this story to life. This was the most down-to-earth role I have ever seen Ice Cube play and he did a good job of it. I was very skeptical when I saw Fred Durst directed the movie, but it was surprisingly high quality and felt quite authentic in many ways. The story is believable, at least at the beginning. The initial condition of the characters I found very easy to relate to. Good character development helped me buy in to the story and made it easy to get emotionally attached. Toward the end, the story departs from reality in favor of a more emotional journey with characters I couldn't help but want to see succeed at their most unlikely challenge. The ending had some good merit and isn't just a crowd pleaser, which was really great to see, even if less immediately gratifying.
