[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.] A rather sweet movie despite all the profanity. Josh Peck gives a nice performance as a new graduate trying to earn money by selling dope the summer before he heads off to college. He also wants to get laid, but doesn't count on falling in love. Olivia Thirlby is also good as the step-daughter of his very messed-up shrink/customer (the excellent Ben Kingsley) and the object of his affections. The two have good chemistry together and the film is quirky and authentic in its portrayal of teenagers trying to navigate their lives despite their parents being more confused than they are. Not exactly a feel-good movie, but one that is honest in portraying what it's like to be uncertain yet still forge ahead.
