User's review

All the actor's performances in this film were very good and those of Anthony Hopkins and Gary Oldman were outstanding. Julianne Moore performed as if she owned the part. The gore was surpassed only by the wit of the main character. As one of the commentors said, it begs for another sequel. It would actualy be the fourth movie with Hannibal. Lets hope Sir Anthony accepts to play Hannibal again. The author is not done with this character. The Thomas Harris "third" novel will likely be followed by a fourth. The first, Red Dragon (movie Manhunter) featured a different Hannibal actor. The character lends himself to so many possibilities. How can we root for such a villan? Because the author has him pitted against victims who are immoral while Hannibal is, in a deviant kind of way better than they are. Fighting evil with evil sort to speak. I recommend all 3 movies and books and can't wait for the next.

Excellent. Anthony Hopkins is amazing. The whole cast was excellent. A different film from the first, but it is expected with Ridley Scott at the helm. A serious Oscar contender for the coming year.
