I thought Dostana would be a really offensive film but I would enjoy the music and dancing so I went to see it. To my surprise, the film actually turned out to be extremely funny and entertaining. Abhishek Bachan gave a fantastic performance as did Bhuman Irani. In a non-preachy way the film promotes acceptance and tolerance. What was starkly missing was a "normal" gay character. The story was badly written and copied from a few Hollywood films like "The Devil wears Prada" which is why I am giving it a relatively low rating. I hope next time the writer Tarun Mansukhani will come up with an original idea... because as someone wrote about Hollywood..."An original idea would be very lonely in Bollywood".
