[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.] I thoroughly enjoyed Kate's performance, Taylor's, and the lawyer's. Anna was solid, the father was good, as was the older brother. Cameron Diaz, however, was very one-dimensional. Throughout the movie, the idea was that she was so busy trying to fight her daughter's disease that she had forgotten to actually enjoy her daughter. Yet, you didn't see any softer sides, vulnerabilities... anything. Simply a block of Wood, and people aren't like that! I also wish that Cameron Diaz had realized the error of her ways in the end, or something. I don't care if it is realistic or not, but it seemed that the whole journey taught the mother nothing. I really liked it. It was depressing, although I did not have to bring a kleenex box! Just a little bit of a misty eye... After the movie, I felt so lucky to be alive and healthy as I am. Makes you very thankful for what you have.
