It was a good movie. Miyazaki is still the best in is own way. I wish I had brough a 4 years child with me... I am sur that for the youngest one it will be a 10/10.

Excellent cartoon... Your classic love story with a touch of modern world concerns while remaining Japanese at heart.

Good--but not as good as Spirited Away or Totoro. The main character has to make a "decision" that should have involved some sort of moral decision or sacrifice. In the end the boy is not really tested and the whole things goes wishy washy... ah well... the kids were entertained.

One of the voices in the movie is Liam Neeson. I think that gives you an indication that it is worth seeing. :) The beginning may be somewhat boring, but then I was captivated. I really enjoyed the story and how it developed!

It's pretty cute. I noticed it was pretty childish but still, even though others might complain that its only for kids, try seeing it with your heart.

Ponyo was really well done and looked amazing on the big screen. It was nice to see a Miyazaki classic in the theaters.

Another Miyazaki classic! Although this wasn't his best work, I still think it deserves a 10 because the story is just too cute!

I have watched spirited away and it was good. This movie was awful. I found the film quite exclusive i.e. for youg children. I love movies like: Fiding Nemo Up Wall-E The Liong King. This is because they are highly inclusive and are thouroully enjoyed by all age groups. This movie was absolutely horrible. The animation was awful and utterly repulsive. The plot was non-sensical, boring, and repulsive. It felt like watching some Pakistani Cartoon from 1980's. I was deeply repulsed as the film started and hoped that it would get better. It was wishful thiking. Do not wathc this cartoon. Just check out the pictures and make an inference as to how the animation will be. Awful.

Cute, warm, no really evil guys, no high-handed moralizing such as you often see in hollywood animated movies. However there were moments that were as tense as anything a non-horror movie might show. Miyazaki may well be the master of this genre.

It's an excellent movie. I'm an adult, but I still love the simple plot, the beautiful animation and the purity of life shown in the movie.

This movie is very very weird and quite boring. Animation is beautiful but that is about it. My 9 year old asked in the middle of the movie "Why would she even marry this dude? " talking about Ponyo's mother. Yes, I agree, the father is plain weird. And, yes, I did like Spirited away and it is awesome movie. Ponyo, not so much...

This movie, although very cute, is definitely more for young children than any of Miyazaki's other films and is not as well made or detailed as Spirited Away or Castle in the Sky. I really wish that instead of going for names like Cyrus and Jonas that they actually found kids who were actually good for voice acting, because the acting for Sosuke was very bad and the acting for Ponyo was very annoying. I would recommend seeing it if you have children around 6 or 7, or if you are a Hayao Miyazaki fan like me. Other than that, don't bother.

The latest work of the master of classical animation, Hayao Miyazaki. Whimsical tale similar to Hans Christian Andersons "The Little Mermaid" a treat for all ages but children in particular.

Simple and whimsical, this is Miazaki in his element. Tired of the slick oer produced animated "classics" and want to take your kid to see some thing he/she may actually remember in two days? Go see Ponyo.

My expectations were high, and it was funnier then I expected. It happend in Japan wich was really interesting because most movies happen in America. The end wasn't that satisfying but the rest was good. This movie is more for the younger ones.

The animation is very good. The story line is ok, but the character they used for Ponyo voice was annoying. I would have preferred to hear it in Japanese with English subtitles. It's more for the kids.

Not so much of adult entertainment. You must go in and imagine you are just 10 then you will enjoy it alot. Great animation I must say, totally Miyazaki's style, I still like Spirited Away much better, but this is not bad too though story is kinda weak. Some quite touching moments there, bring you kids to watch definitely!

The story made no sense - the dialogue was really disjointed. There was no relationship between the beautiful animation , actions and the spoken word. We are studio ghibli fans - so it was a very disappointing film.

My expectation was high and I already watched the japanese version last year. But still totally enjoyed it. However, the visual images and effects are not THAT detailed like Pixar's, thus made Ponyo worth buying DVD rather than box office. BUT, if you are a fan of miyazaki, definitely a good idea to support the sales.

Du Miyazaki comme on l'aime. Vraiment charmant. Un peu plus enfantin que Spirited Away, Howl's moving castle ou Princesse mononoke mais quand même, une très jolie fable.

Miyazaki has done it again. The man can do no wrong. I loved this film so much I want to take my daughter to see it again! It was really good. I think that this movie and Howls moving Castle are a tie for my favourite...

It is those hand drawn animation that is one of a kind- a story of friendship and love between a 5 year old boy and Ponyo (half magical fish and half human) as we are taken on a series of adventures. A feel-good movie with a message for all the family to see, especially the very young at heart!

It's worth watching on dvd not at the movies for sure we saw the movie premiere, cute story to comlex for kids to realy understand the plot , the point of the story. But real cute for adults again only on dvd if there is nothing better to watch! Take my advice. The idea is original from any other kids tale, a little too unusual!
